LOOK || Through the initiative of the Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region IX – Zamboanga del Norte, FSUPT RICHARD C TIMOSA, RN, JD, DSC, and in collaboration with Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division of Dapitan City, two (2) fire extinguishers and various school supplies were donated to Selinog Integrated School in Barangay Selinog, Dapitan City. The activity was held at the Schools Division Office (SDO) Conference Hall, Dapitan City, as part of the Brigada Eskwela 2026 launching activities and the Bureau’s continuing commitment to disaster risk reduction, fire safety advocacy, and community resilience.

The partnership was formalized between the BFP – ZDN and the DepEd Schools Division of Dapitan City, represented by SGOD Chief Sherlito E Sagapsapan on behalf of Schools Division Superintendent JAY S MONTEALTO, CESO V. This collaboration signifies a shared commitment to strengthening fire safety awareness, emergency preparedness, and disaster resilience within educational institutions, particularly those located in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.

The joint undertaking highlights the importance of integrating fire safety education and disaster preparedness into the learning environment. Through the provision of essential safety equipment and educational resources, the initiative seeks to enhance the capacity of schools to prevent, mitigate, and effectively respond to emergencies. Moreover, it reinforces the collective efforts of both agencies in cultivating a culture of preparedness, resilience, and public safety among learners, educators, and the broader community.

The Bureau of Fire Protection remains steadfast in its mission of building safer and more resilient communities through meaningful partnerships and proactive initiatives that promote preparedness, prevention, and public safety, ensuring that no community—regardless of location—is left behind in disaster risk reduction and resilience-building efforts.

01 JUNE 2026 || Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony

The Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal of Zamboanga del Norte, under the steadfast leadership of FSUPT RICHARD C TIMOSA, RN, JD, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, successfully conducted its Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at the OPFM Building, Biasong, Dipolog City.

This regular activity serves as a vital platform in strengthening discipline, unity, and patriotism among the personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection, reinforcing our commitment to public service and organizational values.

The highlight of the ceremony was the Spiritual Upliftment delivered by FO2 Mark Novem E Enoy, IIS Staff, OPFM ZDN. The message focuses on how to avoid Pain and Regret.

United by purpose and guided by discipline, the BFP Zamboanga del Norte continues to stand firm in its mission of safeguarding lives and properties.

Ang pagkalat ng mga AI-generated o pekeng larawan ay maaaring magdulot ng kalituhan, panic, at pagkalat ng maling impormasyon na nakasasagabal sa mga totoong emergency response.

Gibberish and Distorted Text: Madalas mali ang spelling, magulo ang mga nakasulat sa uniporme, helmet o karatula.

Anatomical Anomalies: Tignan ang mga kamay at mukha. Maghanap ng sobrang daliri, natutunaw na balat o hindi natural na ekspresyon.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 || On May 25, 2026, The Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal – Zamboanga del Norte, under the leadership and initiative of FSUPT RICHARD C TIMOSA, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal-BFP ZDN, successfully conducted a seminar on “The Basics of the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI)” held at the OPFM ZDN hallway.

The activity aimed to provide BFP personnel with a deeper understanding of the PNPKI, its significance, and its importance in ensuring secure and reliable digital transactions and communications within government services.

Personnel from the OPFM ZDN attended the seminar physically, while personnel from the lower units participated virtually through Google Meet, showing the office’s commitment to continuous learning, digital awareness, and modernization.

Ms. Carra Mae P. Labadlabad resource speaker from DICT alongside with Engr. Salachel Tangapa also shared valuable insights and practical knowledge regarding the implementation and relevance of PNPKI in today’s digital environment.

This initiative reflects the continued dedication of OPFM ZDN in equipping its personnel with relevant knowledge and competencies aligned with the government’s digital transformation programs.
