📊 DATA THAT MATTERS | DepEd ZN Strengthens Assessment Modernization
Leaders in education from across the Schools Division of Zamboanga del Norte gathered on March 9–10, 2026 at Top Plaza Hotel, Dipolog City for the Orientation cm Consultative Conference on the National Assessment in Basic Education (NASBE) Modernization Plan—a significant step toward strengthening data-driven decision-making in basic education.
The two-day conference brought together select Public Schools District Supervisors, District ICT Coordinators, District Designated Testing Coordinators, School Heads, and Education Program Supervisors to align efforts in improving the collection, management, and utilization of learner assessment data across the division.
A key highlight of the event was the consultative dialogue on Project LAMP (Learners Assessment Modernization Plan), anchored on the SILVERTEK Program, which aims to modernize the assessment system through technology integration, stronger data systems, and more responsive educational planning. Participants actively shared insights and recommendations to ensure that assessment results truly reflect the learning realities of students in the field.
The conference was enriched by the expertise and leadership of Ervie A. Acaylar, Chief Education Supervisor (SGOD); Daisy Flor J. Romaguera, Education Program Supervisor in Science; Zyhrine P. Mayormita, OIC – Assistant Schools Division Superintendent; and Jerry C. Bokingkito, CESO VI – Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, together with the School Management, Monitoring and Evaluation (SMME) Team.
More than just numbers and reports, the gathering emphasized the true purpose of assessment: improving teaching, guiding policies, and ensuring that every learner receives quality education.
Through strengthened collaboration and innovation, DepEd Zamboanga del Norte continues to move forward—building smarter assessment systems for better learning outcomes.
