Under the leadership of our esteemed Provincial Fire Marshal, the Father of SWIFT, 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗢 𝗖 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗗𝗢 𝗝𝗥, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, women firefighters in the province of Bataan continue to prove that courage knows no gender! 💪

The recently concluded Specialized Women Intensified Firefighters Training (SWIFT) Batch 2, held at the 1Bataan Command Center, Brgy Doña, Orani, Bataan, focused on enhancing the strength, skills, and leadership of our empowered female firefighters of BFP Bataan.

Our heatfelt gratitude to the Provincial Governor of Bataan, Hon. Jose Enrique S. Garcia III, for the unwavering support to BFP Bataan, to Ms. Rowena S. 🔥 BFP Bataan Monthly Endurance Run 🏃‍♂️💨
Forging strength, discipline, and camaraderie one run at a time. 💪

Led by our dedicated Provincial Fire Marshal, FSSUPT AMANDO C ELEVADO JR, DSC, the BFP Bataan Provincial Office proudly conducted the Monthly Endurance Run held at Dinalupihan Track and Field Oval, Kataasan, Dinalupihan, Bataan.

The BFP Bataan Monthly Endurance Run is a regular physical fitness activity designed to enhance the strength, stamina, and overall endurance of BFP personnel. This initiative aims to ensure that firefighters remain physically prepared to respond effectively to emergencies and perform their duties efficiently. Beyond physical fitness, the endurance run also promotes teamwork, discipline, and camaraderie among BFP personnel.

🔥 Fit to Serve, Ready to Protect! 💪

Led by our dedicated Provincial Fire Marshal, FSSUPT AMANDO C ELEVADO JR, DSC, the BFP Bataan Provincial Office proudly conducted the 1st Physical Fitness Test (PFT) 2025 for the thirteen (13) newly absorbed Fire Officer 1 recruits of BFP Bataan, held at Dinalupihan Track and Field, Kataasan, Dinalupihan, Bataan.

This fitness assessment is more than just a test, it’s a commitment to strength, endurance, and readiness. As part of our Health and Wellness Program, the PFT ensures that our new firefighters are physically prepared to serve and protect as they continue their Six-Month Onboarding Program.

In line with the recent earthquakes happening, here are some safety tips before, during, and after the disaster. A reminder from Balanga City Fire Station. Keep safe everyone!

Before an Earthquake

Prepare an emergency kit: Include water, food, flashlight, first-aid supplies, and medications for at least 72 hours.
Secure your home: Bolt heavy furniture and appliances to walls; store breakable items on lower shelves.
Make a family plan: Identify safe spots in each room and an out-of-area contact for communication.
Know your risks: Familiarize yourself with local evacuation routes and participate in drills.

During an Earthquake

Drop, Cover, and Hold On: Get under a sturdy table or desk, cover your head and neck, and hold on until shaking stops.
If outdoors: Move to an open area away from buildings, power lines, and trees.
If driving: Pull over safely, stay in the vehicle, and avoid bridges or overpasses.
If in bed: Stay there, protect your head with a pillow.

After an Earthquake

Check for injuries: Provide first aid if needed and call emergency services for serious issues.
Inspect for hazards: Look for gas leaks, fires, or structural damage; evacuate if unsafe.
Call local authorities: Report any damage, hazards, or emergencies to help coordinate response efforts.
Expect aftershocks: Avoid re-entering damaged buildings and stay alert for several days.
Tune in: Listen to radio or official sources for updates on utilities, roads, and shelter.
