Ang Tropical Storm "DOMENG" (JANGMI) gibanabana sa tanang anaa nga datos sa layong 1,360 kilometro sidlakan sa Southeastern Luzon (14.8°N, 134.3°E).

May kakusgon kini sa hangin nga moabot sa 75 kilometro matag oras duol sa sentro ug pag huros sa hangin nga 90 kilometro matag oras ug mulihok kini padulong sa amihanang kasadpan (northwestward) nga direksyon sa dagan nga 20 kilometro matag oras.

Samtang, Southwesterly Windflow ang maoy nakaapekto sa Palawan ug kasadpang bahin sa Visayas ug Mindanao.

Ang probinsya sa Dinagat Islands makasinati ug madagumon nga kalangitan inubanan sa katag-katag nga pag-ulan, kilat ug pagpanalugdog tungod sa epekto sa Trough sa TS DOMENG.

Posible kini muresulta sa pagbaha og pagdahili sa yuta tungod sa kasarangan ngadto sa kusog nga pagbundak sa ulan.
Busa, padayon ang tanan nga magmonitor sa kahimtang sa panahon ug susihon ang sitwasyon sa atong palibot kung taas ang risgo panahon nga adunay kusog na mga pag-ulan.

Kung kinahanglan mubakwit sa luwas nga lugar dili na kini langayon para sa atong seguridad. inumdoman ang mga musunod:

• Magdala ug raincoat o payong para dile mabasa sa ulan;

• Magbantay ug maniid kanunay ang mga lumulupyo nga anaa nahimutang sa mga landslide ug flood prone areas;

• Maghinay-hinay ug padagan sa sakyanan labi na kung nag-ulan aron mahilikay sa disgrasya tungod sa danlog nga kadalanan;

• Maminaw ug makisayod sa pinakabag-ong balita gikan sa TV ug social media accounts sa PDRRMC Dinagat Islands, PIO ug PAGASA Official pages bahin sa lakang sa panahon.

TROPICAL STORM DOMENG IS NOW INSIDE THE PHILIPPINE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (PAR).

• Location of Center (4:00 AM)
The center of Tropical Storm DOMENG was estimated based on all available data at 1,345 km East of Southeastern Luzon (14.9°N, 134.2°E).
• Intensity
Maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 90 km/h, and central pressure of 998 hPa
• Present Movement
Northwestward at 20 km/h
• Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds
Strong to gale-force winds extend outwards up to 400 km from the center

Heavy Rainfall Outlook

DOMENG is less likely to directly affect the weather condition of the country in the next 24 hours. However, the southwesterly windflow enhanced by DOMENG may bring heavy rains over the western portions of the country beginning Sunday (31 May). A weather advisory may be issued tomorrow (30 May) in anticipation of the heavy rains.

Severe Winds

Based on the latest forecast track, the hoisting of tropical cyclone wind signal over Extreme Northern Luzon is less likely, but not ruled out.

The enhancement of the southwesterly windflow will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds):

• Tomorrow (30 May): Most of Visayas, Batanes, Cagayan, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, Masbate, Albay, Sorsogon, Palawan, Zamboanga del Norte, Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands, Sarangani, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental.
• Sunday (31 May): Most of Visayas, Batanes, Cagayan, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Zamboanga del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, Agusan del Norte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Sarangani, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental.

Tropical Storm JANGMI

TROPICAL STORM JANGMI MAINTAINS ITS STRENGTH AS IT ACCELERATES NORTHWARD.

• Location of Center (10:00 PM)
The center of Tropical Storm JANGMI was estimated based on all available data at 1,200 km East of Southeastern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) (14.1°N, 135.3°E).
• Intensity
Maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 90 km/h, and central pressure of 998 hPa.
• Present Movement
Northward at 20 km/h
• Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds
Strong to gale-force winds extend outwards up to 400 km from the center

GENERAL OUTLOOK FOR THE FORECAST PERIOD
• JANGMI is forecast to move northward to northwestward and may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) within the next 12 hours. Once inside the PAR, it will be given the local name DOMENG. It will then move west northwestward from tomorrow until Saturday (30 May) before moving generally north northwestward far from Philippine landmass for majority of the remaining forecast period. JANGMI will exit the PAR on Monday (01 June).
• JANGMI will continue to intensify and may reach Typhoon category on Saturday. This tropical cyclone may reach its peak intensity between Saturday and Sunday (31 May) while over the Philippine Sea. Afterwards, JANGMI is expected to steadily weaken.
• This weather disturbance is less likely to make landfall over the country. Based on the latest forecast track, the hoisting of tropical cyclone wind signal over Extreme Northern Luzon is less likely, but not ruled out.
• Moderate to rough sea conditions may be experienced over the seaboards of Extreme Northern Luzon this weekend. Raising of gale warning over the area is also possible.
• This tropical cyclone will likely enhance the southwesterly windflow starting on Saturday.

Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to continue monitoring for updates related to this tropical cyclone.

Unless there is an intermediate issuance, the next tropical cyclone advisory will be issued at 11:00 AM tomorrow.
