As part of the activity, the station personnel gathered and shared a meal together at the fire station. This simple gathering provided an opportunity for everyone to take a short break from their duties, enjoy a meal, and spend meaningful time together within the station.

Sharing meals together may seem like a simple activity, but it helps create a positive and comfortable atmosphere among personnel. It also provides an opportunity to relax, exchange stories, and appreciate each other's presence beyond their regular duties and responsibilities.

Family Day also highlights the importance of rest and personal well-being among firefighters. Despite being constantly ready to respond to emergencies, taking time to pause, recharge, and enjoy simple moments together helps maintain morale and a positive working environment.

Through this activity, the personnel of Dimasalang Fire Station continue to value teamwork, camaraderie, and mutual support while remaining committed to their duty of serving and protecting the community.

The training focused on strengthening the participantsโ€™ knowledge and practical skills in basic first aid, emergency response, proper patient handling, and rescue procedures. The activity aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills to respond promptly and appropriately during emergencies and life-threatening situations.

The activity aimed to bring essential fire prevention information and reminders directly to the community, covering the identification of potential fire hazards, safe use of electricity and LPG, and proper actions to take during emergencies.

Through direct interaction and information sharing with residents, the community was continuously encouraged to remain vigilant, responsible, and actively involved in promoting fire safety and preventing fire incidents.

The distribution of Fire Safety Leaflets serves as a simple yet meaningful step toward building greater awareness, preparedness, and cooperation among families in keeping their homes and community safe from fire.

Under the leadership of ๐…๐‚๐’๐”๐๐“ ๐‰๐”๐๐ˆ๐“๐Ž ๐… ๐Œ๐€๐’๐‹๐€๐๐†, ๐ƒ๐’๐‚, Regional Director of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region V, and under the direct supervision of ๐…๐‚๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐…๐‘๐€๐๐‚๐ˆ๐’ ๐ ๐‚๐€๐’๐“๐ˆ๐‹๐‹๐Ž, ๐‘๐‚, Provincial Fire Marshal of Masbate, personnel of the Dimasalang Fire Station, led by SFO2 Wilcel V Dinglasan, Officer-in-Charge, conducted a House-to-House Fire Safety Awareness Campaign in selected residential areas of Barangay Balocawe, Dimasalang, Masbate, on September 4, 2026.
The house-to-house fire safety activity provided an opportunity for firefighters to personally reach out to families and share practical ways to prevent fires before they happen. Through direct conversations with residents, firefighters discussed common fire hazards at home, such as overloaded electrical outlets, damaged wiring, unattended cooking, improper appliance use, and the unsafe placement of flammable materials.

Families were reminded to make fire safety part of their daily routine by checking electrical connections, keeping cooking areas free from hazards, maintaining accessible exits, and ensuring that everyone in the household knows how to respond during a fire emergency.

The activity was not only about giving reminders. It also allowed firefighters to hear the concerns of residents, understand the safety challenges they face, and encourage everyone to take an active role in protecting their homes and neighbors.

Through consistent house-to-house visits and meaningful community engagement, the Dimasalang Fire Station continues to bring fire prevention education closer to the peopleโ€”helping families become more informed, prepared, and confident in keeping their homes and community safe from fire.

The activity focused on enhancing the personnelโ€™s skills in ambulance operations and emergency medical response, including proper patient handling, stretcher operations, safe patient transfer, and basic rescue and first aid techniques.

Through hands-on drills and practical exercises, personnel strengthened their teamwork, coordination, and readiness in providing immediate assistance to patients during emergencies. The training also reinforced the importance of safe and efficient ambulance operations to ensure that patients receive timely care and are transported safely to the appropriate medical facility.

Continuous skills enhancement is essential in maintaining a competent, confident, and response-ready EMS team capable of providing prompt and effective assistance when every second matters.
