The City Population and Development Office, together with the Local Youth Development Office, conducted the “𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇: 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫.” This initiative united young leaders and participants in one empowering event.

City Population and Development Officer Mr. Rez Kristoffer R. Cabardo delivered a talk on the risks and threats faced by youth, emphasizing the essential life skills for resilience and empowerment.

Through activities like this, the CPDO continues to foster empowered youth and build stronger, more resilient communities.

Closing the first quarter with a successful Parent-Teen Talk Session, the City Population and Development Office conducted an activity in Brgy. San Agustin in coordination with the City Health Office, Ms. Mary Elaine Dimacuta, Nurse and AHYDP Focal Person, and City Population and Development Officer Mr. Rez Kristoffer R. Cabardo. This activity aimed to strengthen communication, raise awareness, and provide guidance among parents and youth in the community.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁–𝗧𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀

The City Health Office and the City Population and Development Office joined forces in a meaningful initiative, the Parent–Teen Talk Session, designed to strengthen communication and understanding between parents and their adolescents.

The event featured parallel sessions for parents and teens, including:
🔹 Throwback Talk – Rediscovering adolescence
🔹 Body Talk – Appreciating change
🔹 Parenting Talk – Supporting adolescent growth
🔹 Risky Talk – Navigating risks and making safe choices
🔹 Growing Together Talk – Fostering respectful dialogue

It all came together in the Heart-to-Heart (HEART) Bridging Session, where both groups shared insights, deepened trust, and committed to nurturing healthier family relationships.

The conversations wouldn’t have been as meaningful without the guidance of our dedicated facilitators. Mr. Rez Kristoffer R. Cabardo led the Parent Track with insight and empathy, helping parents explore new ways to connect with their teens. On the other side, Ms. Mary Elaine O. Dimacuta took charge of the Teen Track—creating a safe space for young participants to reflect, share, and learn more about themselves.

This initiative marks another step toward building stronger, healthier relationships between parents and their teens—grounded in respect, understanding, and open communication.

The 𝗣𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗣𝗬𝗔) 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 was successfully conducted through the collaborative efforts of the 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐂𝐒𝐖𝐃𝐎), under the guidance of 𝐌𝐬. 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬, along with the 𝐏𝐘𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫. Held at the 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬, the event was further enriched by the 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐂𝐏𝐃𝐎), with 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐳 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐑. 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 serving as the resource speaker. He delivered a timely and relevant discussion on “𝙍𝙞𝙨𝙠𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙨 𝘼𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝: 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙎𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚.”
