Ano ang SSO sa madaling salita?
Isipin mo na ang SSO (Single Sign-On) ay isang Digital Hall Pass.

Isang beses ka lang magsusulat ng pangalan mo sa guard, bibigyan ka na ng isang magic pass. Gamit ang pass na 'to, pwede mo nang pasukin ang lahat ng kwarto sa school nang hindi mo na kailangang kumatok at magpakilala nang paulit-ulit sa bawat pinto.

Ang dalawang magkaibang bagay.
Sa opisina, may dalawang magkaibang lugar kung saan nakatago ang mga laruan o files natin:

On-Prem (On-Premises): Ito ang "Bahay o Opisina." Ito 'yung mga computer, server, at hard drive na physical mong nahahawakan at nakikita sa loob mismo ng gusali.

Azure: Ito ang "Cloud o Virtual space." Ito 'yung mga apps at websites na gumagana gamit ang internet (tulad ng Microsoft 365, SharePoint, o email). Hindi mo sila nakikita physically, pero andoon sila sa cloud.

Ang Invisible Glue.
Azure AD Connect: Siya naman ang "Tulay o Tagapasa." Dahil magkaiba ang lugar ng On-Prem (opisina) at Azure (cloud), si Azure AD Connect ang tagakopya ng mga pangalan at password. Pinagdidikit niya ang dalawang bagay para maging isang sistema na lang sila.

Bakit ito magandang gamitin?
Hindi Nakakapagod: Isang password lang ang tatandaan mo, hindi sampu.

Sobrang Bilis: Isang login lang, pasok ka na sa lahat ng apps mo.

Mas Secure: Pag may umalis na empleyado, isang click lang sa system, bawi agad ang magic pass niya sa lahat ng kwarto.

Ang Goal: Isang login. Pasok kahit saan.

OAuth Error Flow Malware Campaign (𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒊𝒄 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆)

1️⃣𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒍 𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚
• Targeted phishing email sent to victim
• Contains malicious OAuth authorization link
• Social engineering encourages the user to click

2️⃣ 𝑶𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑻𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒓
• Clicking the link initiates a malicious OAuth request
• Manipulated parameters abuse the OAuth error/authorization flow
• Used to probe authentication state or initiate redirect

3️⃣ 𝑹𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝑨𝒕𝒕𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒓 𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆
• OAuth response redirects the browser via malicious redirect_uri
• Victim is sent to attacker-controlled website or download server

4️⃣ 𝑷𝒂𝒚𝒍𝒐𝒂𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚
• Victim downloads a malicious file (often ZIP or executable)
• File is disguised as legitimate software or document

5️⃣ 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝑬𝒙𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏
• User opens or runs the downloaded file
• Malware executes on the victim endpoint

6️⃣ 𝑬𝒏𝒅𝒑𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆 & 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆
• Malware establishes persistence mechanisms
• Attacker gains continued access to the compromised system

Quick reminder lang to secure your Facebook account. Kung hindi pa naka-enable ang Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), now is the best time to turn it on.

Bakit importante ang 2FA?
Kahit malaman ng iba ang password mo, hindi pa rin sila makaka-login dahil may extra verification step. This greatly reduces the risk of hacking, account takeover, at identity misuse.

Mas recommended: Gumamit ng Authentication App instead of SMS for better protection.

Let’s make it a habit to stay secure online. Prevention is always better than recovery.
