Digos City National High School, through its Special Needs Education (SNED) Program, conducted the Orientation and Upskilling of Receiving Teachers of Mainstreamed SNED Learners on September 4, 2026.

The activity was initiated and facilitated by the English Department in collaboration with the SNED teachers, demonstrating a shared commitment to strengthening teachers’ capacity to provide inclusive, responsive, and learner-centered instruction.

The orientation and upskilling activity aims to enhance teachers’ knowledge, skills, and preparedness in addressing the diverse learning needs of mainstreamed SNED learners through appropriate instructional strategies, classroom practices, and support mechanisms.

As the end-of-term block continues, the dedicated teachers of Digos City National High School remain steadfast in implementing the ARAL Program, providing learners with focused and meaningful opportunities to strengthen their reading skills and address identified learning gaps.

Through sustained intervention, individualized guidance, and purposeful learning activities, teachers continue to extend their commitment beyond regular instruction ensuring that every learner receives the support needed to progress academically.

This continuing effort reflects the school’s commitment to inclusive, responsive, and learner-centered education, aligned with the Department of Education’s goal of strengthening foundational learning and improving learner outcomes.

Digos schools simulate active attack safety drill

Schools around Digos City sprang into action, staging emergency response scenarios to test preparedness and response during the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents, Thursday.

The exercise activated school contingency plans and strengthened coordination among learners, teachers, school personnel, and emergency responders, reinforcing timely action and collective responsibility for school safety.

The activity was conducted pursuant to the Department of Education’s directives on the conduct of the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill, which promotes disaster preparedness and strengthens the protection of learners and personnel in schools.

Schools Division of Digos City conducted an Active Threats School Safety Drill captured at Digos City National High School as part of the schools continuing efforts to strengthen emergency preparedness and ensure the safety and readiness of its learners and personnel in the event of potential emergencies.

The drill was facilitated and evaluated in collaboration with the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) in both city and province bureau and Schools Division of Digos City DRRM, ensuring the proper implementation of established safety protocols and emergency response procedures.

Through this coordinated activity, DiCNHS continues to promote a culture of preparedness, vigilance, and collective responsibility, reinforcing the importance of effective emergency response in safeguarding the entire school community.
