LOOK!! ASMC ROTC Unit Leads Entrance of Colors, Cross Swords, and Exit of Colors at Criminology Intern Graduation and Ringhop Ceremony

The ASMC ROTC Unit Under The Leadership of LTC LINECO S BASAS INF (GSC) PA, Commandant, rendered military honors during the Criminology Intern Graduation and Ringhop Ceremony through the ceremonial Entrance of Colors, Cross Swords, and Exit of Colors. At Poblacion Zone 1 Old Municipal Del gallego Camarines Sur 25, May 2026. The solemn rites highlighted the significance of discipline, honor, and service that both ROTC and criminology uphold.

The ceremony formally opened with the Entrance of Colors, led by the ASMC ROTC Unit Color Guard. Carrying the Philippine Flag and the unit standard, the cadets marched with precision and bearing as the audience stood in respect. The presentation of the colors symbolized national pride and the commitment of the graduating interns to serve the country with integrity.

As part of the ringhop tradition, the Cross Swords ceremony was conducted by the ROTC cadet officers. The crossed sabers formed an archway through which the criminology interns passed with their parents, signifying their transition from cadet life to professional service. This symbolic act represented honor, responsibility, and the readiness to uphold justice and public safety.

The ceremony concluded with the Exit of Colors. The Color Guard marched out with the same precision and dignity, signifying the formal close of the program while reminding everyone of the values the colors represent patriotism, duty, and honor.

The participation of the ASMC ROTC Unit in the ceremony underscored the strong link between military discipline and law enforcement training. Through these traditions, the graduates were reminded that leadership, service, and integrity are the foundation of both military and criminology professions.

LOOK!! ASMCROTC UNIT Holds Graduation Ceremony For Basic Rotc and Donning of Ranks for Cadet Officer Qualifying Course Graduates

The ASMC ROTC Unit successfully conducted its Graduation Ceremony For Basic Cadets and Donning of Ranks for Cadet Officer Qualifying Course graduates at the ASMC Criminology building, Review Room 15,May 2026.The event was graced by key military officials and local partner agencies in recognition of the cadets’ dedication and completion of training.

The ceremony was led by LTC LINECO S BASAS INF (GSC) PA, Commandant of the ASMC ROTC Unit and Battalion Commander of the 81st Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army. LTC
BASAS,commended the graduates for their discipline, perseverance, and commitment to completing the rigorous ROTC training program.

Serving as the keynote speaker was LTC ARNEL D. FABRIAGA OS (GSC) PA, Director of the 502nd Community Defense Center, 5RCDG, RESCOM, PA. In his address, LTC FABRIAGA emphasized the importance of leadership, patriotism, and service to the nation. He encouraged the graduates to uphold the values they learned and to remain ready to serve the country whenever called upon.

A significant part of the ceremony was the donning of ranks for the graduates of the Cadet Officer Qualifying Course. Newly qualified cadet officers received their insignia, symbolizing their readiness to assume leadership roles within the Corps.

Basic ROTC graduates were also formally recognized for completing their basic military training, marking their first step in becoming responsible and disciplined citizens.

The event highlighted the strong collaboration between the ASMC ROTC Unit and local agencies. Representatives from the following offices received certificates of appreciation for their continuous support in ROTC activities:
- BFP Del Gallego– Bureau of Fire Protection
- PNP Del Gallego – Philippine National Police
- MDRRMO Del Gallego– Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office

Their partnership has been instrumental in providing cadets with practical training and exposure to public service beyond the military setting.

The graduation ceremony and donning of ranks served as both a recognition of achievement and a challenge for the graduates to continue upholding the ideals of service, leadership, and patriotism. Through the guidance of the ASMC ROTC Unit, the 81st Infantry Battalion, and the 502nd CDC, the Corps remains committed to developing competent and responsible reserves.

LOOK!! ASMC ROTC Unit Participates in Del Gallego MAFC Coastal Clean-Up Drive

The ASMC ROTC Unit, Under The Leadership of LTC LINECO S BASAS INF (GSC) PA Commandant, actively participated in the Municipal Agriculture and Fisheries Council Coastal Clean-Up Drive held in Sabang, Del Gallego, Camarines Sur. The activity was conducted in partnership with ASMC CJED, PNP Del gallego, BFP Del gallego the Local Government Unit of Del Gallego, MAFC, and other civic organizations to promote environmental stewardship and community involvement.

The coastal clean-up aimed to preserve the marine ecosystem, reduce pollution, and raise public awareness on the importance of protecting coastal resources. Advanced Cadet Officers of the ASMC ROTC Unit joined volunteers in collecting plastic waste, debris, and other pollutants along the shoreline. The cadets demonstrated teamwork, discipline, and volunteerism throughout the activity.

The Del Gallego MAFC Coastal Clean-Up Drive was a successful and meaningful endeavor that united various sectors for a common cause. Through its participation, the ASMC ROTC Unit reaffirmed its dedication to community service and environmental protection. The Corps remains committed to producing cadets who are not only skilled in military discipline but also responsible citizens who actively contribute to the welfare of the nation.

LOOK!! Familiarization Firing Conducted by ASMC ROTC Cadets with the 81st Infantry Battalion

The ASMC ROTC Unit, Under The Leadership of LTC LINECO S BASAS INF (GSC) PA Commandant, successfully participated in a Live Firing Exercise facilitated by the 81st Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army. Composed With (77) Basic Cadets And Advanced Cadet officers (1) GMA ,The activity was held to enhance the cadets’ proficiency in marksmanship and to strengthen their confidence in handling fi****ms under proper supervision.


The live firing exercise is an essential component of military training for ROTC cadets. It aims to develop discipline, focus, and responsible firearm handling among future reservists. For Basic Cadets, the activity provided their first hands-on experience with service rifles, while Advanced Cadet Officers reinforced their skills and leadership by assisting in range operations and safety supervision.


The activity began with a safety briefing and orientation on range procedures conducted by personnel of the 81st Infantry Battalion. Cadets were taught the fundamentals of marksmanship, including proper stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and breath management. Each cadet was given the opportunity to fire under the close guidance of qualified instructors to ensure safety and accuracy.

Advanced Cadet Officers assisted in the ex*****on of the exercise by serving as assistant range officers, ammunition handlers, and safety observers. Their involvement demonstrated their readiness to assume greater responsibilities as future leaders in the Reserve Force.

The success of the live firing exercise was made possible through the support and professionalism of the 81st Infantry Battalion. Their instructors provided expert guidance, enforced strict safety protocols, and motivated the cadets to perform their best. The battalion’s commitment to the development of ROTC cadets reflects its dedication to nation-building and youth development.

The live firing exercise was a significant milestone in the training of ASMC ROTC cadets. It instilled discipline, built confidence, and deepened their understanding of military skills. The ASMC ROTC Unit extends its sincerest gratitude to the 81st Infantry Battalion for its invaluable support and partnership in molding disciplined and capable future reservists.
