๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š | With heavy hearts, the Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM), rendered solemn funeral honors for the late SN2 Stephen H Gregorio 23505 PCG today, 04 September 2026, at the CGDSEM Headquarters, Sasa Wharf, Davao City.

Beyond his duties as a Coast Guardian, SN2 Gregorio PCG served as a Photographer/ Videographer/Editor of the District Public Affairs Office โ€“ Southeastern Mindanao, using his lens to capture the courage, dedication, and service of his fellow Coast Guardian.

Through every frame, he preserved memories and told stories that will continue to live on.

Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM) Commander, COMMODORE PHILIPPS Y SORIA PCG attended the 35th Founding Anniversary of the Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) on September 2, 2026, at the NSFA Multi-Purpose Covered Court, Panacan, Davao City.

The celebration was graced by Vice Admiral Jose Ma. Ambrosio Q. Ezpeleta PN, Flag Officer-in-Command, Philippine Navy, as Guest of Honor and Speaker.

Two (2) individuals reported missing at sea were successfully located and rescued by the Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM), through Coast Guard Station Davao (CGS Davao), at Barangay 37-D, Davao City, at approximately 10:01 a.m. on August 31, 2026.

Following their recovery, the individuals were brought to CGS Davao for proper assessment and documentation. After confirming their safety and good condition, they were subsequently turned over to their respective families.

According to one of the rescued individuals, they were aboard a motor banca when the vessel experienced engine trouble while traversing the waters between Agdao, Davao City, and Samal Island on August 30, 2026. The mechanical failure left them unable to proceed, causing them to remain stranded and drift at sea overnight.

Upon receiving the report, CGDSEM, through CGS Davao, promptly initiated coordination and response efforts, resulting in the successful location and safe recovery of the two individuals.

The successful operation underscores the CGDSEMโ€™s unwavering commitment and readiness to respond to maritime emergencies, assist persons in distress, and safeguard lives at sea.
