On May 20, 2026, Madayaw Gas, in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection, conducted a fire drill to strengthen the emergency preparedness of its employees and staff. The activity allowed participants to practice proper evacuation procedures in a safe and organized environment, helping them become more confident and ready to respond during emergencies.

The drill also served as an important reminder of basic fire safety measures and effective emergency response practices. Through this initiative, the company reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a safe, responsible, and well-prepared workplace for everyone.

BFP Bunawan Fire Station personnel spearheaded by SFO4 Philip C Cogtas, Station Commander, under the supervision of FSUPT DONALD R CONCEPCION, District Fire Marshal thru the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆, Regional Director of BFP RXI, Bunawan Fire Station

Personnel from the Davao City Fire District, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, and Barangay Bago Aplaya joined the National Simultaneous Coastal Clean-Up Activity led by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region XI at Purok 13, Seaside, Brgy. Bago Aplaya, Davao City.

The activity was conducted to raise environmental awareness, help protect marine ecosystems, and encourage the community to take an active role in keeping coastal areas free from pollution and waste. Through the teamwork and dedication of the participating agencies and volunteers, a significant amount of garbage and debris along the shoreline was collected and properly disposed of, helping create a cleaner, safer, and healthier coastal environment for everyone.

As part of the summer health program for children, the activity brought together young beneficiaries from the barangay of Bunawan, Davao City. The event was also supported by the committed personnel of Bureau of Fire Protection, who actively assisted the medical team and ensured that the children received proper care and attention throughout the activity. Their genuine dedication and compassion played an important role in the success of the program, reflecting their strong sense of public service and sincere concern for the community.
