TINGNAN: Coastal uplift sa bahagi ng Glan, Sarangani, Timog na bahagi ng Glan, Sarangani at Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental

Kasunod ng naganap na Magnitude 7.8 na lindol sa karagatan ng Sarangani noong Hunyo 8, 2026, nagsagawa ng aerial survey ang DOST-PHIVOLCS at Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) XII noong Hunyo 11, 2026 upang suriin ang mga epekto ng lindol sa mga komunidad at imprastraktura sa Lalawigan ng Sarangani.

Nakita sa aerial survey ang co-seismic coastal uplift at mga landslides na naobserbahan sa mga barangay ng Glan, Sarangani, at sa timog na bahagi ng Glan, Sarangani at Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental. Base sa obserbasyon ang mga coral na dating nakalubog sa dagat ay ngayo'y nakaangat at nalantad at nagpabago sa baybayin dulot ng 08 Hunyo 2026 M7.8 Lindol sa Dagat ng Sarangani. Ang larawan ay kuha sa dalampasigan ng Brgy. Pangyan, Glan, Sarangani. Batay sa paunang obserbasyon, tinatayang umangat ang dalampasigan ng humigit-kumulang 2 metro at tuluyang pag-atras ng baybayin (shoreline) ng humigit-kumulang 200 metro.
