Under the leadership of PCOL PETER BAUZON MADRIA, City Director, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) remains steadfast in its intensified campaign against illegal drugs, recognizing that the drug menace continues to threaten public safety, destroy families, endanger the youth, and hinder community development.

As part of this unwavering commitment, the City Director commends the exemplary performance of Police Station 5โ€“Buhangin, led by PCPT NARCISO N. POTOT JR., Officer-in-Charge, for the successful anti-illegal drug operation that resulted in the arrest of a High-Value Individual (HVI) and the seizure of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of โ‚ฑ255,680.00. The operation was conducted at approximately 2:01 AM on June 10, 2026, at Purok 12, Bypass Road, near Laverna Bridge, Barangay Communal, Davao City.

This accomplishment reflects the DCPO's sustained efforts to disrupt the illegal drug trade, remove drug offenders from the streets, and prevent the harmful effects of illegal substances from reaching vulnerable sectors of society. More importantly, it demonstrates the effectiveness of strong partnerships among law enforcement agencies, barangay officials, local government units, and vigilant members of the community in safeguarding neighborhoods from criminal activities associated with illegal drugs.

The campaign against illegal drugs is not merely an enforcement initiativeโ€”it is a collective mission to preserve lives, protect future generations, strengthen families, and promote peace, order, and sustainable development. Every successful operation brings us closer to a safer environment where communities can thrive free from the influence of illegal drugs and the crimes they often fuel.

The DCPO calls on all Dabawenyos to remain vigilant, cooperate with authorities, and continue supporting efforts to eradicate illegal drugs. To those who remain involved in the illegal drug trade, this serves as a reminder and an opportunity to choose a better path. Change is possible, and a brighter future awaits those who abandon unlawful activities and embrace a life of responsibility and productivity.

Together, let us stand united in protecting Davao City and building a community where peace, justice, and prosperity prevail for all.
