Camp Sgt Quintin M Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City — A coordinated manhunt operation led to the arrest of the Top 1 Regional Level Most Wanted Person in Barangay Bayugan 3, Rosario, Agusan del Norte, on October 1, 2026, as Police Regional Office 11 tracker teams continued their efforts to locate and apprehend wanted individuals in the region.
At about 10:00 AM, personnel of the Tagum City Police Station, in coordination with the 2nd ADS PMFC and RIU-13 PIT, successfully implemented the Warrant of Arrest against the suspect identified as alias Jessel.
The arrest stemmed from a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Eleventh Judicial Region, Branch 1, Tagum City, for Murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code. The case is recommended as not bailable.
The successful operation highlights the importance of sustained coordination and determination among police units in tracking down wanted persons, particularly those considered among the region’s most wanted.
For Police Regional Office 11 Regional Director PBGEN BENIGNO L GUZMAN, the arrest reflects the continuing commitment of PRO 11 personnel to pursue individuals with standing warrants and ensure that they are brought before the proper court to answer the charges against them.
The operation likewise supports the directive of PNP Chief PGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ JR. to intensify efforts against wanted persons and strengthen police operations in maintaining peace and order and protecting communities.
