Catalunan Pequeño National High School successfully launched the kickoff and orientation of the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Summer Program on May 6, 2026. The activity was led by the school principal, Dr. Lorelie M. De Guzman, together with the guidance of the ARAL coordinator, subject area department heads in Mathematics, English and Filipino, and dedicated ARAL tutors.
The Department of Education extends its ARAL Program through Summer Remediation Programs (SRP) which will run from May 6 to June 2, 2026. It aims to provide structured, face-to-face tutoring and targeted intervention sessions for learners who need additional academic support, particularly in strengthening foundational skills in key learning areas.
During the orientation, learner-participants and parents were briefed on the program’s objectives, purpose, schedule, categories, and setup throughout the allocated 20-day intervention.
The initiative highlights the school’s commitment to inclusive and accessible education, reinforcing its goal of leaving no learner behind. Through the ARAL Program, students are given not only a second chance to improve their academic performance but also an opportunity to rebuild confidence in their abilities.
As the program officially begins, teachers, parents, and learners are encouraged to maximize this summer opportunity, because learning never stops, even beyond the regular school year.
