BFP 11 PARTICIPATES IN 3RD QUARTER FULL COUNCIL MEETING OF RPOC XI

The Bureau of Fire Protection 11, under the leadership of FCSUPT RIZALDE M CASTRO, Regional Director, duly represented by FSSUPT ALEX M PAMAYBAY, is participating in the 3rd Quarter Full Council Meeting of the Regional Peace and Order Council XI (RPOC XI) today, September 15, 2026, at the 2nd Floor Activity Hall, Provincial Capitol, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.

The meeting is bringing together member agencies and stakeholders to discuss matters concerning peace and order, public safety, and good governance in the Davao Region. As a member of the RPOC XI and lead agency of the Special Action Committee on Public Safety, BFP 11 is taking part in the discussions and coordination toward strengthening inter-agency collaboration on public safety concerns.

Through its continued participation in the council, BFP 11 is supporting the collective efforts of government agencies and partners in promoting a safer, peaceful, and orderly Davao Region.

[DID YOU KNOW?] | BFP 11 MAPS REGIONAL FIRE HYDRANTS TO SHARPEN EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND PUBLIC SAFETY

Under the direction of FCSUPT RIZALDE M CASTRO, Regional Director, the Bureau of Fire Protection 11 has compiled a consolidated spatial mapping audit of all identified fire hydrant locations across the Davao Region as of September 2026. Designed as a data-driven infrastructure audit, this initiative integrates physical water access points directly into emergency management operations across Davao City, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, and Davao Occidental.

BFP 11 HOLDS FLAG RAISING CEREMONY, EMPHASIZES SERVICE AND RESPONSIBILITY

The Bureau of Fire Protection 11, under the leadership of FCSUPT RIZALDE M CASTRO, Regional Director, conducted its Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday morning, September 14, 2026 held at the Central Parking Bay, Leon Garcia cor. Monteverde Sts., Davao City.

Serving as the Troop Information and Education (TI&E) Speaker, FSUPT JANETH MAPESOS-LEQUIGAN highlighted the importance of individual responsibility in strengthening the organization. Drawing from the well-known line, “Ask not what the Bureau of Fire Protection can do for you, but rather, ask what you can do for the Bureau,” she reminded personnel that being part of the BFP goes beyond wearing the uniform or advancing in one’s career—it means contributing to the Bureau’s mission of protecting lives, safeguarding properties, and serving the community.

FSUPT MAPESOS-LEQUIGAN further encouraged personnel to become solution-oriented, disciplined, competent, and committed in performing their duties. She emphasized that every contribution, whether big or small, helps build a stronger Bureau and strengthen public trust. She left personnel with three questions to reflect on: “What can I do to become a better Fire Officer? What can I do to better serve my community? And finally, what can I do for the Bureau?”

The fun is ON at SM Davao (Annex)! The Fire Square Roadshow is bringing exciting, hands-on fire safety activities where kids can explore, participate, and learn important skills—all while having a great time with our firefighters! Partner agencies are also showcasing equipment and their resources joining the nationwide simultaneous Fire Square Roadshow.

From getting up close with firefighting gear to trying out fun activities and emergency drills, there’s something for every young fire-safety hero.

[HAPPENING NOW] | BFP 11 CONDUCTS FIRE SQUARE ROADSHOW AT SM CITY - ECOLAND

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 11 (BFP 11), under the leadership of FCSUPT RIZALDE M CASTRO, Regional Director, joins the simultaneous Fire Square Roadshow currently being conducted in collaboration with partner agencies at SM City Ecoland, Davao City, as part of the Bureau’s continuing efforts to strengthen public awareness on fire prevention, safety, and preparedness.

Led by FIRE CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT WILBERTO RICO NEIL ANG KWAN TIU, Officer-in-Charge, Bureau of Fire Protection, the activity brings fire safety information and awareness closer to the public through engaging activities and practical reminders. The roadshow emphasizes the shared responsibility of communities in preventing fires, responding appropriately during emergencies, and promoting a safer and more fire-resilient community.
