On 05 September 2026, SJPIICD ROTC cadets successfully completed their third training week, continuing the training cycle for the basic cadets.

The activity focused on basic drills, where the Basic Cadets practiced marching and facing drills to develop and refine their military bearing.

The activities were led by AM Richard F Gunsi PAF alongside the 1CL and 2CL officers, under the supervision of Military Training Instructor and NCOIC, TSg (T) Elvine C Valenzuela PAF.

As the training cycle advances, the raw potential of the basic cadets is forged into discipline, confidence, teamwork, and commitment.

On 22 August 2026, the SJPIICD ROTC Cadets successfully conducted their Second Training Week, moving forward with the training cycle for the Basic Cadets.

The activity focused lectures on the History and Military Knowledges of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). Led by AM Richard F Gunsi PAF, with the support and presence of the 1CL and 2CL cadets throughout the activity.

This training provided the Basic Cadets with a deeper understanding of the AFP's history, legal mandates and military knowledges, while also introducing them to the proper ex*****on and facing commands.

As training continues, these Basic Cadets take another step toward building leadership, discipline, teamwork, and camaraderie.

On 22 August 2026, the SJPIICD ROTC Unit officially commenced its First Training Week, marking the beginning of a new academic and training cycle for the basic cadets.

The orientation successfully introduced the basic cadets to the fundamentals, expectations, discipline, and responsibilities of being an ROTC cadet. The activity was led by our NCOIC MTI, TSg (T) Elvine C Valenzuela PAF, and our Junior MTI, AM Richard F Gunsi PAF, together with the SJPIICD Advanced ROTC Officers, who provided guidance and support throughout the activity.

This initial training serves as the first step toward developing leadership, discipline, teamwork, and camaraderie among the new generation of cadets.
