Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐈𝐙𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐄 𝐌 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎, Regional Director, and under the direct supervision of District Fire Marshal 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐃 𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍, the Davao City Fire District – Special Rescue Force (DCFD-SRF), headed by 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐄𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐑 𝐂 𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐎 have successfully completed the 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢 (𝙄𝘾𝙎) 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 – 𝙇𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡 1, further strengthening their capabilities in incident management, coordination, communication, and decision-making during emergency situations.

The training was conducted by the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 – 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗦𝗣𝗠𝗖), providing our personnel with valuable knowledge and skills essential for effective emergency and incident response.

The activity aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge, preparedness, and response capabilities in dealing with structural collapse incidents. It also emphasized the importance of teamwork, proper coordination, and effective response strategies to ensure a unified and efficient operation during emergencies and disaster situations.

Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐈𝐙𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐄 𝐌 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎, Regional Director, and under the direct supervision of District Fire Marshal 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐃 𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍, the Davao City Fire District – Special Rescue Force (DCFD-SRF), headed by 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐄𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐑 𝐂 𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐎, conducted a Rope Access Skills Enhancement and Refresher Training aimed at strengthening the team’s skills, improving operational readiness, and maintaining the capability to safely and effectively respond to high-angle rescue incidents.

Through hands-on drills, continuous practice, and practical application of rope rescue techniques, SRF personnel continue to sharpen their skills and reinforce safe rescue procedures. Every training is an opportunity to learn, improve, and prepare for the challenges that may come. 💪🚒

Strengthening Community HAZMAT Awareness

Under the leadership of Regional Director 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐈𝐙𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐄 𝐌 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎 and the direct supervision of District Fire Marshal 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐃 𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍, The Davao City Fire District – Special Rescue Force (DCFD-SRF), headed by 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐄𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐑 𝐂 𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐎, carried out a HAZMAT Community Awareness and Preparedness Activity in Baliok, Toril, Davao City.

The activity brought together CDRRMO, Central 911, and Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) in promoting a safer and more prepared community. Through information sharing and practical guidance, residents were introduced to the basic principles of HAZMAT awareness, preventive measures, proper safety practices, and the appropriate actions to take during hazardous materials incidents.

Beyond strengthening emergency response capabilities, the activity emphasized the importance of community participation and preparedness. By equipping residents with the right knowledge, responders and the community can work together to minimize risks and protect lives during emergencies.

As Dabawenyos and visitors came together in a vibrant celebration of culture, unity, and thanksgiving, the DCFD-SRF stood ready to provide emergency response and rescue assistance throughout the festivities.

The standby operation was conducted together with the DCFD-EMS, Bangoy Fire Station, Bucana S.I.R. Fire Station, CDRRMO Central 911, and other emergency responders, working hand in hand to help ensure the safety and security of everyone celebrating the Kadayawan festivities.

With the spirit of Kadayawan bringing people together, the DCFD-SRF remains committed to ensuring that every celebration is not only joyful and meaningful, but also safe and secure for everyone.

Under the leadership of Regional Director 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐈𝐙𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐄 𝐌 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎, under the direct supervision of District Fire Marshal 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐃 𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍, and headed by 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐄𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐑 𝐂 𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐎, Davao City Fire District – Special Rescue Force (SRF) actively participated in the 𝑺𝒊𝒎𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑬𝒙𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒄 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒚 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 conducted by the Department of Health (DOH).

The simulation exercise provided an opportunity for responders to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and coordination in managing mass casualty incidents. Through realistic scenarios and hands-on exercises, participating personnel enhanced their readiness to respond effectively, efficiently, and safely during emergencies involving multiple casualties.

The activity highlights the importance of continuous training, inter-agency coordination, and preparedness in ensuring a swift and organized emergency response.
