The DMSFI Learning Resource Center successfully concluded the celebration of the 91st National Book Week with a meaningful and vibrant culmination program. The event opened with a warm welcome message from Ms. Luz C. Broca, Head Librarian, who expressed gratitude for the continued support of the academic community in promoting a culture of reading.
This was followed by an inspirational message from Mr. Miguel P. Dailisan II, Head of the Guidance and Testing Center. He was recognized for his invaluable contribution as an Inspirational Speaker, generously sharing his insights and experiences that highlight the importance of libraries and the enduring power of reading.
The program also featured a Booktalk Session led by Dr. Genevieve Tupas, Director of the Center for Research and Development. She was honored for her significant contribution as a Booktalk Speaker, enriching the program as she shared insights on book publication, research engagement, and the lasting impact of reading in academic life.
Participants were treated to hands-on database training across multiple academic platforms, empowering students and faculty to maximize the libraryโs digital resources. The event also brought excitement through fun games and interactive activities, adding a lively spirit to the celebration.
One of the eventโs highlights was the Recognition of Top Borrowers, acknowledging students, faculty and staffs who demonstrated exemplary library engagement throughout the year.
To cap the festivities, the winners of the National Book Week 2025 games and contests were announced, bringing joy and celebration to all who took part in this yearโs activities.
The event concluded with a heartfelt closing message from Ms. Anna Christine C. Inocando, LRC Librarian, who thanked the DMSFI community for their support and active involvement.
