The DCADDL under City Veterinarian's Office - Davao City conducted an Information Education Campaign (IEC) on Rabies Awareness and Responsible Pet Ownership at Buhangin Elementary School, Cornelio C. Reta Sr, Doña Asuncion Hizon and Bangoy Elementary School on June and July 2026 and recently in Callawa and Dumanlas Elementary School from learners Grade 4, 5 and 6. Sessions were conducted on room to room setting given simultaneously by DCADDL Personnel. The topic focused on breaking the myths about the rabies virus, prevention and or management of its victim and the animal when biting incidents happen; and more importantly, practices to become a responsible pet owner.

Moreover, participants were given the chance to ask questions and clarifications on the topics discussed. Flyers/Handouts about RABIES and RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP was given to every participant for reference.

Information Education Campaign is part of City Government of Davao's efforts to disseminate information and educate the public specifically on Rabies.
