Rotaract brings together people ages 18-30 in universities and communities worldwide to organize service activities, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun. Rotary clubs sponsor them, but Rotaract members manage and fund their clubs independently. Rotaract members work closely with their local Rotary club, and may join after their Rotaract membership ends. The Rotaract club meets

twice a month to exchange ideas, plan activities and projects, and socialize. Rotaract clubs decide how to organize and run their club and what projects and activities to carry out. Rotaract was founded to develop effective leaders and promote responsible citizenship. As our generation plays a growing role in directing the affairs of this community, it is important that our members be well-positioned to accept the challenge of helping others reach its potential of becoming a service--oriented rotaractor. We believe for those who are led to think boldly and affect real change, Rotaract provides the premier leadership development opportunity.

✨ Service rooted in purpose. Leadership driven by heart.

President-elect Theona F. Aton proudly represented the Rotaract Club of Downtown Davao Poblacion at the Rotaract Leadership Learning Seminar (RLLS) held at Golden Palace Hotel, Tagum City, last May 1–3, 2026.

Centered on growth, learning, and leadership development, the seminar gathered incoming officers from various Rotaract clubs for meaningful General Plenary sessions that offered fresh perspectives on servant leadership, collaboration, and empowering fellow members to create sustainable impact within their communities.

The second night’s 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐍𝐔𝐌𝐏𝐀: 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐓 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐄𝐒 marked a significant milestone as newly elected district and club leaders formally pledged to uphold the mission and values of Rotaract. It was a solemn yet inspiring moment that symbolized the acceptance of a greater responsibility—to lead with authenticity, vision, and unwavering dedication to Service Above Self.

In the presence of fellow Rotaractors, Rotarians, and distinguished guests, the ceremony reflected the collective trust placed in these leaders and the shared aspiration of building stronger communities through purposeful action.

As a new Rotary year begins, may this oath serve as a reminder that true leadership goes beyond titles—it is reflected in one’s willingness to serve, inspire, and create positive change with compassion and purpose.
