𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗣) 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!

On June 18, 2026, Team City 1 conducted the Livelihood and Education Access Program (LEAP) Graduation Ceremony at GSIS Covered Court, Matina, Davao City with 396 probation and parole clients.

The program recognized participants who completed livelihood training aimed at strengthening skills for rehabilitation, self-sufficiency, and community reintegration.

Present during the activity were DTI representative Mr. Jon Robert Anthony Barlis and OIC-ARD Lily Anne B. Cabonce of PPA Region XI, representing RD Benjamin C. Cutay, Jr.

Participants learned the basics of pizza preparation and food production, providing them with additional knowledge and skills that may help augment their future income and promote self-sufficiency.

The activity aimed to equip clients with practical livelihood skills and prepare them for the referral phase of LEAP, where they may access further opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship, and community reintegration.

We mourn the passing of Loumarice Lerios Langcay, one of our dedicated Volunteer Probation Assistants whose service, compassion, and commitment greatly touched the lives of the clients and communities we serve.

Her unwavering support to the programs and advocacies of our office will always be remembered with gratitude and respect. Through her selfless service, she became a source of encouragement and hope to many individuals striving for rehabilitation and positive change.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her bereaved family, relatives, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find strength and comfort in the memories she leaves behind and in the lives she has meaningfully impacted.

Your service and kindness will never be forgotten.

On April 16, 2026, Team City 1, led by CPPO Grace B. Castillo under the guidance of Regional Director Benjamin C. Cutay, Jr., successfully conducted a skills training workshop for LEAP participants.

The activity equipped clients with practical knowledge in producing detergent powder, dishwashing liquid, and fabric conditioner skills that are not only useful for daily living but also offer opportunities for small-scale livelihood and income generation.

The training was made possible through the support of the City Cooperative Development Office (CCDO) of the City Government of Davao, led by Ms. Edna Haspe, CLTC Head, who facilitated the session and shared her expertise with the participants.

This initiative forms part of the 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐏), which aims to empower probationers and parolees by enhancing their self-sufficiency, productivity, and readiness for community reintegration.

On February 27, 2026, the Davao City PPO 1 officially launched the Livelihood and Education Access Program (LEAP) today at the GSIS Matina Covered Court. Under the leadership of CPPO Grace B. Castillo, 400 clients participated in the program’s Pre-Introductory Phase.

The event saw strong engagement from stakeholders like the CSWDO and Volunteer Probation Assistants, who pledged their continued support for LEAP’s success.
