Last July 24-25, 2024, YLACAD participated in this year's Mindanao Development Forum 2024 at Acacia Hotel.

With this year's theme,"๐“๐‡๐„ ๐Œ๐ˆ๐๐ƒ๐€๐๐€๐Ž ๐€๐†๐„๐๐ƒ๐€: ๐„๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž, ๐’๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ž๐ญ, ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ž๐š๐œ๐ž, ๐…๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ๐ฌ", YLACAD was able to collectively envision a Mindanao that ensures peace, continual growth, empowering communities, preserving the environment and fostering strategic partnerships as cornerstones for Mindanao's sustainable development in the next coming years.

The forum was attended by various stakeholders from the national government and partners from national and international settings.

No doubt, polluted beaches can harm not just the environment but also human health.

Last June 15, Love Philippines Movement, Inc. spearheaded a Coastal Clean-Up Initiative for Barangay Centro, San Juan, Agdao.

Together with other volunteers from YLACAD and the Ecoteneo Student Unit from Ateneo de Davao University, the activity indeed was a success, and it surely allowed the participants to be enlightened on how every sack of trash removed is a step towards a healthier planet!

YLACAD, along with their fellow eco-warriors, joined the 4th EcoSummit Forum spearheaded by the SAMAHAN Ecoteneo Student Unit of Ateneo de Davao University, last April 27.

Our representatives surely had an enlightening time, learning more about the current environmental issues we have, and the possible solutions shared by the event's esteemed speakers.

Connecting with our fellow youth in this year's State of the Youth Address spearheaded by Rise for Education-Davao, our participants got to learn a lot about the pressing issues the Dabawenyo and Filipino youth are experiencing todayโ€”including the possible ways on how to address them.

Being part of the Filipino youth, we must open our eyes to the reality of the state of our society. Together with the amazing LakBai Tv and our passionate volunteers, we were able to plant a great number of mangroves. ๐ŸŒฑ

The Youth Leaders' Advocacy on Climate Action and Development is blessed to achieve this wonderful milestone. We became a team who worked together not just in embodying our shared values, but also in actualizing our advocacies. ๐Ÿค
