The ๐บ๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐ ๐ธ๐๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐ joined not only as medics and security personnel, but also as fellow youth participants during the ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฉ held last ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐โ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ at Regional Major Seminary, Catalunan Grande, Davao City.
For many years, we have been serving behind the scenes โ staying alert, ensuring safety, responding when needed, and putting the needs of others first. Most of the time, we attend events carrying responsibilities on our shoulders, forgetting that beyond our roles and uniforms, we are also young people who need rest, guidance, healing, and spiritual growth.
After 11 long years, this youth camp became more than just an event for us. It became a reminder that we are not only called to serve physically, but also spiritually and emotionally. Through the talks, activities, prayers, and the people we encountered, we were reminded of the importance of reconnecting with God and with ourselves. It gave us the chance to pause from our duties for a while and simply experience what it means to be part of a community grounded in faith, friendship, and purpose.
As ๐๐๐ฏ.
Those words became a powerful reminder that service is not only about fulfilling responsibilities, but about offering ourselves wholeheartedly to God and to others. True service requires faith, humility, patience, and love โ and these are things we continue to learn as youth servants.
To the ๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐จ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐, thank you for welcoming and inviting us to be part of this meaningful gathering. Thank you for reminding us that we are not only medics and security in every event, but also youth who are continuously growing, learning, and seeking God. Thank you for creating a space where we felt seen not just for the work we do, but for who we are.
To our ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐, Rhoderick Hernandez, thank you for your guidance and for constantly reminding us that God must always remain at the center of our organization. Thank you for teaching us that saving lives is not only a responsibility, but also a form of service to God. Your leadership continues to inspire us to serve with compassion, humility, and faith.
Serving may never be easy. There will always be sacrifices, exhaustion, and challenges behind every duty we fulfill. But this experience reminded us that service becomes lighter and more meaningful when it is rooted in Christ. And no matter how small our roles may seem, every act of service offered with love becomes a way of saying โyesโ to God.
