Bala Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Davao West Chapter for your generosity, kindness, and love for our learners. Thank you for bringing school supplies and Jollibee meals to our school. Your generosity brought so much joy and happiness to our children.

A first in the history of Bala Elementary School, the “Best Friend ng Bayan,” Jollibee, has finally arrived in Bala! This unforgettable moment made our gift-giving activity even more special and memorable for our learners.

Special thanks to Fr. Marvin Del Campo, who became an instrument in bringing BCBP Davao West Chapter to Bala Elementary School and making this meaningful gift-giving activity possible. Your kindness and connection brought immense joy and blessings to our learners.

In order to give way to clearing operations and ensure the safety and welfare of individuals affected by flooding incidents in the city due to heavy rainfall brought by Easterlies and ITCZ on Monday evening, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔:

1. Face-to-face classes and school activities in ALL LEVELS in all public and private educational institutions in the city are hereby suspended;

2. Work in all national and local government offices, including government-owned and controlled corporations in Davao City, is suspended, EXCEPT for offices performing safety and security, health, social services and disaster and emergency response services;

3. Private offices and establishments are given the discretion to suspend work but are encouraged to do so for the welfare and safety of their employees.

Bala Elementary School proudly announces the conduct of the ARAL Summer Program (Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning) from May 6 to June 2, 2026.

This program aims to support and enhance learners’ competencies in Reading and Mathematics through structured and engaging learning sessions. Classes will be held face-to-face from Monday to Thursday, while Friday will be designated for home learning activities.

The following teachers will facilitate the program:
• Reading (Key Stage 1 – Grades 1–3): Alma Buyog
• Reading (Key Stage 2 – Grades 4–6): Frances Faye Apostol
• Mathematics: Jaiah Prochina

For more information, please coordinate with your respective teachers.
