AGILAS or Ateneans for Governance, Innovation, Leadership and Service, traces its roots from the various efforts of its founding officers and members in pushing for an innovative, vibrant and indisputable service and leadership that would empower Ateneans and the Filipino youth of today’s generation to be pillars of inspirations not only to the Ateneo community, but most importantly to the Filipino nation. The AGILAS exemplifies the latin word “Incomparabilis” which means BEYOND COMPARE. It is because the AGILAS is embedded from the principles and values of Liberal Democracy, Fortitude, Respect of differences, Transparency and Accountability, Excellence in academics, Leadership and Service, Social Justice, Integrity, Non-violent actions, Freedom, Ignatian Spirituality and core values, Democracy and Equality.
