Mansaka Tribe of Mabini Conducts ADSDPP Enhancement Activity

The Mansaka Tribe of Mabini, Davao de Oro conducted an Enhancement of their Ancestral Domain Sustainable Development and Protection Plan (ADSDPP)held on August 10–11, 2026, at Heruben Hometel, Tagum City Davao Del Norte.

The activity was attended by the Mansaka leaders from various barangays providing an opportunity to discuss, review, and further strengthen their plans for the sustainable development and protection of their ancestral domain.

The activity was graced by the presence of NCIP Regional Director Atty. Geroncio R. Aguio, CESO III, TMSD Chief Shirley Iguianon, MPA and Provincial Officer Roger S. Lumbin, MPA together with the NCIP technical team who facilitated the activity and provided technical assistance and guidance throughout the discussions.

The ADSDPP Enhancement serves as an important platform for the Mansaka Indigenous Cultural Community to actively participate in planning and decision-making concerning the development, management, and protection of their ancestral domain while ensuring that their cultural identity, priorities, and aspirations are reflected in their development plans.

Together, let us continue to strengthen the protection of ancestral domains, preserve Indigenous culture, and promote sustainable development for the Mansaka community and future generations.🌿🤝

LOOK | NCIP Region XI and NCIP Davao de Oro Bring Essential Government Services to ICCs/IPs during IP Day – Karadoy Festival 2026

On July 8, 2026, the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Region XI, through the NCIP Davao de Oro Provincial Office, successfully conducted a Medical, Dental, and Legal Outreach Program upon the request of the Indigenous Political Structure (IPS) of Barangay Anitapan. The activity was held in celebration of the IP Day – Karadoy Festival at Barangay Anitapan, Mabini, Davao de Oro.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the IPS of Mabini, the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Davao de Oro, the Provincial Health Office (PHO), the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mabini, the Municipal Health Office (MHO), the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Anitapan, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), PhilHealth Davao de Oro, and the 25th Infantry Battalion (25IB), Philippine Army.

The outreach program delivered essential health, legal, and government services to the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs), benefiting hundreds of community members through the following services:

• ePhilID Issuance – 14
• Other Civil Registry Services – 27

📌 PhilHealth YAKAP Services – 81 beneficiaries

📌 Medical Check-up – 135 beneficiaries

📌 Laboratory Services – 84 beneficiaries

📌 Legal Consultation and Assistance – 82 beneficiaries

📌 Operation Tuli (Circumcision) – 32 beneficiaries

📌 Free Haircut – 30 beneficiaries

The NCIP expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all partner agencies, local government units, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community leaders for their invaluable support and commitment in making this outreach program a success.

NCIP Davao de Oro strengthens service delivery to Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) through a successful Legal, Dental, Medical, Surgical, and Outreach Program conducted in Barangay Camansi, Montevista, Davao de Oro on May 19, 2026. 💚

The activity was spearheaded by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Region XI under the leadership of Atty. Geroncio R. Aguio, CESO III, in collaboration with the NCIP Davao de Oro Provincial Office headed by Provincial Officer Roger S. Lumbin, MPA.

The outreach activity was conducted in coordination with the NCIP Medical Team of Davao de Oro and NCIP Regional Office led by Dr. Michael Louie Cruz, together with the NCIP Legal Team headed by Atty. Ariel Montana, in partnership with the Indigenous Political Structure (IPS) of Montevista, Davao de Oro headed by Bae Jelyn Geolagon, Municipal Tribal Chieftain, and Maniguon Bernardo Manabit, Municipal IPMR.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration and support of:

Circumcision Activity at Barangay Dauman, Montevista, Davao de Oro
A total of 33 clients successfully received circumcision services during the activity conducted in Barangay Dauman.

The activity was initiated by RHU Montevista, with the participation and support NCIP. In behalf of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples of Davao de Oro headed by Roger S. Lumbin, MPA one medical staff Camille del Fierro-Cabigas Midwife II assigned at the Maragusan Service Center were invited to perform the circumcision procedures.

This initiative aimed to provide accessible health services to the community and promote proper health and hygiene among young males.

On April 14, 2026, the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Region XI, under the leadership of Atty. Geroncio R. Aguio, CESO III, in collaboration with the NCIP Davao de Oro Provincial Office headed by Provincial Officer Roger S. Lumbin, MPA, successfully conducted a Legal, Dental, Medical, Surgical, and Outreach Program.

The activity was implemented in coordination with the NCIP Medical Team led by Dr. Michael Louie Cruz and the NCIP Legal Team headed by Atty. Ariel Montana, in partnership with the Indigenous Political Structure (IPS) of Barangay Golden Valley led by Matikadung Jonjer Amontoc, Barangay Tribal Chieftain.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of the Provincial Local Government Unit of Davao de Oro under Governor Raul G. Mabanglo, the Local Government Unit of Mabini led by Mayor Emerson L. Luego, the Municipal Health Office (MHO) headed by Dr. Bernalisa B. Gesim, and the Provincial Health Office (PHO) headed by Dr. Antonio Ybiernas, with additional support from PhilHealth and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

The program was conducted upon the request of the Barangay Golden Valley IPS to bring essential health, legal, and social services closer to Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs), including medical and dental consultations, minor surgical procedures, legal assistance, and support for late birth registration and National ID processing.
