Driving regional economic growth starts with a clear vision and a readiness to innovate. Gathering Local Government Units (LGUs) last May 21-22, 2026, in Dumaguete City, the two-day Negosyo Center Industry Profile Writeshop focused on equipping communities to become investment-ready hubs of opportunity.

Board of Investments (BOI) Executive Director Ma. Corazon H. Dichosa guided participants through the strategic evolution of industries, highlighting how Negros Oriental has dynamically transitioned from a sugar and agriculture-based economy in the 1970s to today's vibrant services economy.

📈 Key takeaways for local industrial transformation:
- Capacity First Before Opportunity: Communities must first understand their own strengths, resources, and long-term vision before seeking external investors.
