Project COMMpass continues to take a step forward in empowering student journalists through Campus Journalism Training-Workshop.

The partnership is designed to provide learners with broader opportunities to enhance their journalism and communication skills, allowing them to apply their knowledge beyond academic settings.

Students were assigned to specific facilitators in order to hone their skills in their respective categories, creating a more effective learning environment that enables their aptness for journalism.

By engaging in this initiative, Project COMMpass strengthens its commitment to fostering responsible storytelling, promoting media awareness, and building stronger connections with the community.

This achievement highlights the school’s ongoing dedication to excellence, collaboration, and service in shaping future communicators.

NU Dasmariñas Community Extension Office Holds BINnovate Competition in Collaboration with Rezbin and NUD Recognized Student Organizations

On May 19, 2026, the BINnovate Competition under Project I.M.P.A.C.T. (Initiatives on Micro Plastics Advocacies, Capstones, and Technologies) brought together the creativity, leadership, and environmental commitment of NU Dasmariñas student organizations in advancing campus sustainability.

Through this student-led initiative, participants showcased innovative recycling bin designs that promote smarter waste segregation and strengthen environmental stewardship across the university community. More than a competition, BINnovate served as a platform for collaboration, education, and action toward a greener future.

As part of the university’s community extension efforts led by NU Dasmariñas, the initiative highlights how innovation and partnership can drive meaningful environmental impact.

The competition aimed to design functional recycling bins that are durable, creative, and campus-ready; strengthen collaboration between ComEx, RSOs, and Rezbin in promoting sustainability; and promote awareness and practice of proper waste segregation through interactive and engaging bin designs.

NU Dasmariñas Computer Society (NUD ComSoc) was awarded 1st Place, followed by HRSAP NU-Dasmariñas Chapter in 2nd Place. NU Dasmariñas League of Junior Tourism Professionals (LJTP) secured 3rd Place, while NU Dasmariñas Movement and Education Society (NUD MovEd) placed 4th, and NU Dasmariñas Junior Philippine Association of Management Accountants (NUD JPAMA) completed the top five in 5th Place.

Together, building smarter solutions for a cleaner and more sustainable NU Dasmariñas.

🎬 DAY 5 | PROJECT N.I.N.G.A.S.
Faculty Digital Innovation and Instructional Excellence

The 5-Day Institutional Community Extension Training Program successfully culminated on May 15, 2026, with Day 5: Output Proposal Development and Presentation, highlighting participants’ outputs and their readiness for real-world application.

Participants presented their outputs and engaged in meaningful discussions on how these materials can be applied in actual teaching, school activities, and community-based initiatives. Each participant also developed and presented a simple output proposal or action plan, anchored on the knowledge and skills gained throughout the training.

As a final requirement, participants submitted their outputs and demonstrated their ability to consolidate learning, communicate ideas effectively, and identify practical ways to implement their proposed initiatives in their respective institutions and communities.

The culmination program also featured the awarding of certificates to partner institutions, training facilitators, and participants in recognition of their invaluable contributions and active participation throughout the 5-day engagement.

Special recognition was also given to participants who excelled in digital content creation, particularly in using Canva and CapCut together to develop impactful educational and community-based materials, showcasing creativity, innovation, and technical skills.

By the end of the program, participants are now more empowered to translate training into action- equipped with competencies in content creation, effective delivery, and digital integration for teaching and community engagement.

This concluding session was facilitated by the IT and Computer Engineering training facilitators of NU Dasmariñas, in partnership with MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy and ISCAG School. As PROJECT N.I.N.G.A.S. concludes its successful run, the collaboration moves into its next phase by formalizing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)- strengthening partnerships and ensuring sustained initiatives that better serve the community.

PROJECT N.I.N.G.A.S. ran from May 11–15, 2026, supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who made this program a success!

🎬 DAY 4 | PROJECT N.I.N.G.A.S.
Faculty Digital Innovation and Instructional Excellence

The 5-Day Institutional Community Extension Training Program continued on May 14, 2026, with Day 4: Training in Effective Delivery, focusing on strengthening participants’ presentation and instructional delivery skills for both classroom and community engagement.

NU Dasmariñas warmly welcomed participants into its modern computer laboratories, providing an interactive, technology-enabled learning environment that supported hands-on practice and active participation throughout the session.

Participants engaged in discussions and guided practice on effective presentation techniques, including organizing ideas clearly, enhancing confidence, engaging audiences, and utilizing digital materials effectively during instruction or community-based presentations. The session emphasized translating planned content into impactful and meaningful delivery.

As part of the output, each participant performed a short presentation or demonstration using the materials they developed during the training. This practical activity allowed participants to apply delivery strategies in real-time and receive feedback for improvement.

By the end of the session, participants are now better able to present their content clearly, confidently, and effectively, using appropriate delivery strategies and digital support materials.
This session was facilitated by the IT and Computer Engineering training facilitators of NU Dasmariñas, in partnership with MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy and ISCAG School.

PROJECT N.I.N.G.A.S. runs from May 11–15, 2026, supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).

Special thanks to our dedicated training facilitators.
