Francisco E. Barzaga Memorial School (FEBMS) conducted the 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐂𝐓 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟖:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌 𝐭𝐨 𝟓:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌, 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐀. 𝐒𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝𝐚.

The orientation focused on the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 and policy updates aimed at improving educational quality, strengthening foundational learning, and enhancing teacher support and school management systems.

Key topics discussed during the orientation included Assessment, Grading and Awards System, Education in Emergencies, Lesson Planning, Three-Term School Calendar, and the Flexible Learning Program. These reforms aim to promote more effective, learner-centered, and adaptive teaching practices in response
to the evolving educational landscape.

The activity also served as an avenue for teachers to strengthen their understanding
of the new policies, align instructional practices with current reforms, and uphold quality education through professionalism, collaboration, and commitment.

Francisco E. Barzaga Memorial School proudly secured 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝟏 in the 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟏𝟎 𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐄 𝐋𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for the month of 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 2026, after placing 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝟒 in March.

This achievement reflects the school’s strong commitment to efficient financial management, and teamwork in ensuring timely and accurate liquidation processes.

𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 | 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬’ 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤-𝐎𝐟𝐟

Bringing together parents, volunteer teacher-tutors, and tutees, the school successfully conducted the Parents’ Orientation and Kick-Off of the ARAL Summer Program.

The program highlighted a shared commitment to strengthen learners’ foundational literacy and numeracy skills as preparation for the upcoming school year.

Dr. Refugia D. Duran emphasized the importance of reading and numeracy skills, highlighting that the program focuses on ARAL Reading and ARAL Math interventions to support learners who are struggling in these areas.

The activity marks a strong collaboration among stakeholders in helping learners strengthen their foundational skills in reading and mathematics.

The implementation of ARAL Summer 2026 started with a collaborative planning and coordination meeting led by Dr. Refugia D. Duran, together with the Reading Coordinators, Mathematics Coordinators, Master Teacher (MT) and Volunteer Tutors.

The discussion focused on program objectives, instructional strategies, learner assessment, as well as preparations for the Parents’ Orientation and Kick-Off, along with clear assignment of roles and responsibilities to ensure smooth program delivery.

The meeting strengthened collaboration and commitment toward improving learners’ literacy and numeracy skills.

ADVISORY: Work-from-Home Fridays

In compliance with DepEd Memorandum No. 022, s. 2026, Francisco E. Barzaga Memorial School will implement a Work-from-Home setup every Friday from April 10 to June 5, 2026.

All offices will operate remotely, and the campus will be closed to the public, with only authorized personnel allowed onsite. Face-to-face operations will continue Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Sa programang “Balik Turo: A Hero’s Journey Home” at SPIMS, kasama ang A&E at PEPT, mas pinalalawak ang oportunidad sa pagtuturo, edukasyon, at kabuhayan.
