In celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day, Carolina Elementary School integrated the commemoration into classroom instruction through various educational and creative activities that promoted patriotism and national pride among learners.

Teachers facilitated flag-making and flag-coloring activities across different grade levels, allowing pupils to express their appreciation for the country's freedom while enhancing their creativity and understanding of the significance of the Philippine flag. Learners enthusiastically participated in the activities, carefully coloring and creating their own versions of the national flag.

To further strengthen the observance, classrooms and learning spaces were adorned with Philippine flag displays, creating a festive and patriotic atmosphere throughout the school. Teachers also discussed the historical significance of Independence Day, helping learners appreciate the sacrifices of Filipino heroes and the importance of preserving the nation's freedom.

On June 9, 2026, Carolina Elementary School welcomed the visit of Mr. Alberto E. Serrano, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) of Daraga South District, during the second day of the Opening Block activities for School Year 2026–2027.

Mr. Serrano arrived at the school during the morning flag ceremony, where he was warmly received by the school personnel and learners. Before the learners and teachers proceeded to their respective classrooms, he delivered an inspiring message of encouragement, emphasizing the importance of starting the school year with enthusiasm, commitment, and a positive attitude. He motivated the learners to actively participate in school activities and strive for academic excellence, while also recognizing the dedication and hard work of the teachers in ensuring a successful opening of classes.

Following his message, Mr. Serrano conducted a monitoring visit to the different classrooms. He observed the implementation of various Opening Block activities, including the conduct of Beginning of School Year (BoSY) assessments, parents' meetings and orientations, and other preparatory activities designed to help learners smoothly transition into the new school year.

Throughout the monitoring activity, Mrs. Mary Care M. Lucilo, School Head of Carolina Elementary School, accompanied and assisted Mr. Serrano. Together, they visited classrooms and interacted with teachers, parents, and learners to ensure that the activities were being implemented effectively and in accordance with the school's plans for the opening of classes.

The monitoring provided an opportunity for school personnel to receive guidance, support, and valuable insights aimed at strengthening the delivery of educational services and improving school operations during the opening of the school year.

On June 8, 2026, Carolina Elementary School officially welcomed learners for the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027 through a meaningful and inspiring first-day program held on the school grounds.

The day began with the flag-raising ceremony attended by teaching personnel and learners from various grade levels. The ceremony marked the formal start of another academic year and set a positive tone for the days ahead.

As part of the program, the newly installed School Head, Mrs. Mary Care M. Lucilo, delivered her welcome message to the Carolinean learners. In her address, she encouraged the pupils to start the school year on the right track by embracing learning with enthusiasm, discipline, and determination. Demonstrating their commitment to community service and youth leadership, the SK officials voluntarily initiated and rendered services that significantly contributed to the beautification and improvement of the school environment. Their efforts focused on repainting several school facilities and structures, helping restore their appearance and enhance the overall learning environment for learners.

Among the activities undertaken by the SK officials were the repainting of the school's flower boxes, selected sections of the rubber tire fence, the main school gate, the flagpole platform, and large portions of the school's galvanized iron perimeter fence. Carolina Elementary School successfully concluded the week-long implementation of Brigada Eskwela 2026 on June 5, 2026, highlighting the unwavering spirit of volunteerism and community partnership among stakeholders, parents, alumni, local officials, and youth leaders.

On the final day of Brigada Eskwela, the TUPAD Parent Volunteers continued their dedicated service by completing the organization and cleaning of the school's second stock room. Their collective efforts transformed the storage area into a more orderly and functional space. After accomplishing the task, the volunteers proceeded to organize various materials around the school and cleaned the remaining areas at the back of the campus to ensure a safer and more conducive learning environment for learners.

Several parents also extended their support by assisting in the preparation of snacks for the volunteers and helping wash dishes after meals, demonstrating the bayanihan spirit that Brigada Eskwela promotes.

Adding to the day's accomplishments, alumni of Carolina Elementary School returned to their alma mater to participate in the repaint of the rubber tire fence surrounding the ornamental garden area. Their contribution helped improve the appearance and safety of the school grounds while strengthening their continued connection with the school community.

The school likewise received valuable technical assistance from Barangay Electrician Mr. Noel Ballaran, who voluntarily checked and tightened the school's electrical wiring and drop wire connections to ensure safety and reliability. He also assisted in assembling a newly purchased stand fan for the school office, providing additional comfort and convenience for personnel and visitors.

Meanwhile, members of SK Dinoronan joined the final-day activities by helping repaint selected areas and clean the school grounds. Their active participation reflected the youth sector's commitment to supporting educational initiatives and community development.

Through the combined efforts of all volunteers and partners, Carolina Elementary School successfully completed its Brigada Eskwela 2026 activities under the theme, β€œBayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa Para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.” The school administration expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders whose time, effort, and generosity contributed to the success of the program and to the school's readiness for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

The Key Stage 1 teachers of Carolina Elementary School, together with School Head Mrs. Mary Care M. Lucilo, participated in the District Orientation on DepEd Order No. 35, s. 2025: Guidelines on the Language Mapping Process for Key Stage 1 held at Anislag Elementary School, Anislag, Daraga, Albay on June 4, 2026.

The orientation was facilitated by Mr. Alberto E. Serrano, Public Schools District Supervisor of Daraga South District, together with other trained teachers, and was attended by Key Stage 1 teachers from various schools across the district. The activity aimed to equip teachers with the necessary knowledge and skills in implementing the language mapping process in accordance with the provisions of DepEd Order No. 35, s. 2025.

During the orientation, participants were provided with a comprehensive discussion on the significance of language education and its role in supporting learners' literacy development and academic success. Emphasis was placed on the importance of identifying learners' language backgrounds to ensure that appropriate instructional strategies and interventions are provided in the classroom.

A key component of the training was the introduction of the Language Identification Tool (LIT), which will be utilized in the conduct of language mapping among Key Stage 1 learners. Participants were guided through the proper administration of the tool and took part in a simulation activity designed to familiarize teachers with the procedures and protocols involved in gathering language-related data accurately and effectively.

The orientation also included discussions on Multigrade Education and the implementation of Integrated Learning Experiences (ILE) strategies. Carolina Elementary School extends its heartfelt appreciation to Kgd. Erwin M. Buama and his dedicated team for their valuable contribution and service during the implementation of Brigada Eskwela 2026.

Demonstrating the true spirit of bayanihan, Kgd. Buama and his men voluntarily initiated and rendered their services to help improve the school's facilities on June 4, 2026. One of their significant accomplishments was the repair and reinforcement of the fence surrounding the school's Gulayan sa Paaralan, helping secure and protect the vegetable garden that serves as an important learning and nutrition resource for learners.

Their efforts greatly contributed to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the school environment, ensuring that school facilities remain safe, functional, and conducive to learning.

Despite time constraints during the day's activity, Kgd. Buama and his team expressed their commitment to continue supporting the school by returning on the following day to install a wooden fence in the back area of the school near the Grade 6 classroom. This additional project will further strengthen the security and improvement of the school grounds.
