The Committee on Rules and Revision of Ordinances, The Committee on Ways and Means, The Committee on Economic Enterprise and The Committee on Public Utilities conducted a joint committee hearing today May 19, 2026, 02:00 p.m., at the SP Conference Room, New Government Center, Dapitan City to discuss:

Committee Referral No. 055-2026 – Respectfully endorsing for consideration and appropriate legislative action the proposed ordinance, entitled: “An ordinance regulating the use and imposition of fees for the LED Wall and sound system owned by the City Government of Dapitan,” and requesting that the proposed ordinance be referred to the appropriate committee for study, deliberation, and recommendation to the body, with attached proposed draft ordinance, for perusal and guidance.

Committee Referral No. 057-2026 – Respectfully endorsing for consideration and appropriate legislative action the proposed ordinance, entitled: “An ordinance establishing the management, use, and imposition of rental fees of the Lawn Tennis and Pickleball Court owned by the City Government of Dapitan,” and requesting that the proposed ordinance be referred to the appropriate committee for study, deliberation, and recommendation to the body, with attached proposed draft ordinance, for perusal and guidance.

Committee Referral No. 182-2026 – Respectfully transmitting the request seeking the crafting and urgent passage of a city ordinance providing for the closure and relocation of the Temporary Public Market presently situated at DAMPA, Barangay Banonong, this city, to the vacant area located between the Children’s Park and the Bagting Covered Court in Barangay Bagting, Dapitan City, with the information that the proposed relocation is intended to provide more accessible and economically viable location for our Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), thereby improving business opportunities, market accessibility, and overall economic activity within the community, which is certified as urgent.

Committee Referral No. 152-2026 – Respectfully requesting the August Body for the passage of a resolution authorizing the City Mayor, on behalf of the City Government of Dapitan, to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Barangay Captains of Dapitan City, representing their respective barangay units, for the implementation of the Tree Planting and Growing Activity, this initiative aims to institutionalize a vital environmental program in alignment with national mandates, particularly the Arbor Day of 2012, promoting environmental protection, sustainability, and community participation in reforestation efforts, with attached legal opinion from the City Legal Office, letter from Mr. George T. Olario, City ENRO I, and the draft Memorandum of Agreement, for your support and cooperation.
