The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dao headed by Hon. Jose Jimbo D. Barruela with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) have officially solidified their commitment to the welfare of overseas Filipino workers by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the establishment of a Migrant Help Desk within the municipality. This collaborative effort underscores a commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by overseas and ensuring their well-being. The establishment of the Migrant Help Desk through this partnership will serve as a vital resource hub, providing assistance, information, and support services to migrant workers with in the jurisdiction of LGU Dao.

The Migrant Help Desk will play a pivotal role in streamlining communications and coordination between LGU Dao and OWWA, offering a centralized platform to address inquiries, concerns faced by migrant workers. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to enhancing the overall experience of overseas employment, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between local government and national agencies. As the Migrant Help Desk becomes operational, it is poised to make a tangible difference in the lives of migrant workers, ensuring that they receive timely assistance and access to the resources they need, ultimately contributing to a safer and more secure environment for those working abroad.
