The City Government of Danao, through Executive Order No. 042 issued by City Mayor Ramon “Nito” D. Durano III, directs the lowering of the Philippine National Flag to half-mast in all City Government buildings, offices, and facilities as a mark of mourning for the late Hon. Jesus Duterte Durano Sr., former City Mayor of Danao, Cebu.

Mayor Durano, fondly known as “Don,” served the city with dedication from 1988 to 2001, leaving behind a legacy of public service, civic commitment, and deep love for Danao City. In recognition of his invaluable contributions to the city’s growth and the welfare of its people, this tribute is accorded in his honor.

The flag shall be flown at half-mast effective May 5, 2026, until the day of his interment, unless otherwise extended. All city departments, offices, barangays, and instrumentalities are directed to ensure strict compliance.

This Order takes effect immediately.

*Further details regarding the necrological services to be held at the City Hall will be announced by the City Government of Danao.
