𝗔𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 ⚖️

Moving toward a more informed and empowered community, the Municipal Assessor’s Office recently hosted an Orientation on Real Property Rights held at the Municipal Function Hall (Barko-Barko) on May 14, 2026. The day-long activity brought together Sangguniang Barangay members to dive deep into the fundamentals of land ownership, proper titling, and municipal taxation.

Assessment Clerk II Maria Fe O. Loperez discussed Real Property Rights, where she explained the different types of land titles, and the vital importance of titling. Following a brief health break, Assessment Clerk I Florencia L. Rose presented the Titling Process, guiding the participants through a step-by-step procedure on titling, common document requirements, and an overview of processing fees and relevant agencies.

Furthermore, Municipal Treasurer Emma T. Badic discussed Real Property Taxation, breaking down where property tax money goes, how to understand Tax Declarations, basic RPT computations, as well as discounts, penalties, and payment schedules.

The event officially wrapped up with the awarding of certificates, marking another successful step toward an informed and empowered community of property owners in the Municipality of Damulog.

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝘅

The Municipal Assessor’s Office successfully conducted a Training on Gender Sensitivity on Property Tax last May 12, 2026, at the Municipal Function Hall (Barko-Barko). The activity was participated by our Sangguniang Barangay members, who successfully equipped themselves with knowledge on gender-fair governance.

Junebelle C. Noble, Planning Officer III & GAD System Focal, opened the sessions with a talk on Gender Sensitivity Concepts, Gender Roles, Stereotypes, and Bias. She also explained the crucial intersection of gender and property ownership. Following this, Municipal Assessor Dohnniedon B. Morales discussed the practical application of these concepts, focusing on how to effectively apply a gender lens to day-to-day property tax processes.

Apart from the insightful talks and shared testimonies, the participants also engaged in Developing our Barangay Action Plan Workshop.
