The Project Implementation Review (PIR) on Social and Behavior Change (SBC) activities was successfully held at the Main Resort and Hotel in Alcoy, Cebu, on February 19โ20, 2026. This two-day event celebrated the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork of our local health workforce, brought together by the collective efforts of the Nutrition Department and partner health personnel.
The program was skillfully hosted by Mary Chyrra D. Luzano, RN, newly recruited PMNPโHEPO, who energized the event and guided the flow of activities with enthusiasm.
The formal opening featured a welcome message from Dr. Estanisla Pernita A. Bautista, setting a purposeful tone for learning, reflection, and meaningful discussions. Hon. Coca Nicohl O. Bustamante inspired participants with a message emphasizing the power of committed health workers and strong local programs.
Riche V. De Guzman, RN, Nutrition Focal Person and MNPC, presented the PIRโs rationale and objectives, underscoring evidence-based assessment, shared learning, and continuous improvement. A focused discussion on PMNPโSBC was led by Lieca O. Villela, RND, offering insights and practical strategies to enhance program implementation at the community level.
Midwives, Cluster Heads, the Sanitary Inspector Officer, BHW Coordinator, and PHNs presented their accomplishments and reports, highlighting transparency, accountability, and best practices in nutrition and health service delivery at the barangay level.
The two-day activity concluded with an awarding ceremony recognizing outstanding presenters, exemplary program implementers, and timely, complete reporting. Dr. Candy Ross A. Romero delivered the closing message, inspiring everyone to continue advancing collaboration, excellence, and impact in community health.
