Highlighting the importance of safeguarding the well-being of adolescents within the education sector, the Division successfully conducted the Tabletop Forum on Adolescent Health on May 21 at Rexy Gel’s Place.

The gathering served as a vital avenue for dialogue and collaboration, bringing together focal persons from both division and school levels to strengthen their shared commitment to child protection.

Peter Jourdan G. Reyes said that the forum emphasized proactive measures and collective responsibility in addressing the health concerns of young learners, ensuring that schools remain safe and supportive environments for their holistic growth.

The discussions were enriched by the expertise of distinguished speakers: Peter Jourdan G. Reyes, Dr. Maxine Nicole C. Bacareza, Jake L. Tumala, and Cpl. Katrina E. Jayson, who shared valuable insights on adolescent health, protection mechanisms, and school-based interventions.

The forum concluded with renewed commitment among focal persons to champion adolescent health initiatives, reinforcing the division’s dedication to holistic child protection.

The Technical Assistance on PD Program Development, held on May 19–20 at the Oriental Prince Hotel, was successfully conducted, bringing together Master Teachers to strengthen the design and implementation of professional development initiatives.

The activity was marked by active engagement and insightful discussions, underscoring the Division’s pursuit of excellence in service delivery.

Division leaders underscored their commitment to strengthening support for schools and ensuring that children achieve meaningful learning outcomes. The discussions took place during the Division Executive Meeting held on May 18 at DOIT.

Dr. Winnie E. Batoon, CESO V, reminded personnel to focus on preparing schools effectively and on providing the right assistance so that students can benefit from high-quality learning experiences.

ASDS Elma A. Prudente also highlighted the challenges the division continues to face. She emphasized the importance of addressing these issues to further improve services, ensuring that learners remain safe and are able to complete their studies successfully.

These discussions reaffirmed the division’s mission to continuously enhance learning opportunities and build stronger support systems for schools, with the ultimate goal of helping every child succeed.
