SDO Dagupan City Recognized for Research Excellence

The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Dagupan City was recognized and awarded by Regional Director, Dr. Estela P. Leon-Carino and ARD Rhoda T. Razon during the Special Regional Management Committee Meeting held on August 20, 2026, for its significant contributions to research engagement, knowledge sharing, and the strengthening of a culture of research in education. Dagupan City posted the highest number of Basic Education Research Fund (BERF) outputs on the regional research platform, reflecting the Division’s strong commitment to generating, sharing, and utilizing research-based knowledge to improve educational practices and outcomes.

The certificate of recognition was awarded by the Top Management, led by OIC-SDS Dr. Marciano U. Soriano Jr., to Dr. Victoria Antonio, SDO SEPS for research on August 24, 2026. This achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of our researchers, teachers, school heads, and education leaders in advancing a culture of evidence-based practice and continuous improvement. The Schools Division Office of Dagupan City, through our OIC-SDS, actively participated in the 5th Teacher Education Institutions (TEI) Convergence and Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for Field Studies and Teaching Internship held at NEAP San Fernando, La Union, together with our esteemed regional education officials and partner teacher education institutions.
This meaningful convergence strengthens the partnership between the Department of Education and higher education institutions in preparing future teachers through authentic field experiences, mentoring, and professional engagement.

More than a ceremonial signing, this initiative is a concrete step toward Project ONE DAGUPAN—uniting DepEd, teacher education institutions, and stakeholders in building a stronger, more responsive, and future-ready education system for Dagupan City. Through strengthened partnerships and shared commitment, we nurture not only competent future educators but also a culture of ONE vision, ONE commitment, and ONE Dagupan for quality education.

Special Management Committee Meeting | August 20, 2026

The conduct of the Special Management Committee Meeting on August 20, 2026, at the Regional Office served as a vital venue for meaningful discussions, coordination, and collective decision-making on matters concerning the effective delivery of education services.

The meeting was attended by the OIC Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Marciano U. Soriano Jr. and the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Ma'am Anna Liza M. Chan together with the SDSs and ASDSs from various SDOs and Regional Office officials and other key education leaders. Their active participation reflects the commitment of the SDO to strengthen collaboration, ensure responsive governance, and advance programs and initiatives for the benefit of our learners, teachers, and school communities.

Online Conference on OPCRF Targets and Division Accomplishments
An online conference was conducted to discuss and review the OPCRF targets and the Division’s accomplishments across the Key Results Areas (KRAs). The session provided an opportunity to align individual performance targets with organizational priorities, assess accomplishments, and identify areas for improvement. The collaborative discussion strengthened accountability, performance monitoring, and commitment toward achieving the goals of the SDO.
