the City Population Office is Conducting a GRAND MASS WEDDING for almost 126 Couples in Different Barangays it will be held at Dagupan City People's Astrodome on May 08,2013 @ 8:00 am.
this is a join Project of the City Government of Dagupan and the City Population Office together with the help of 143 Barangay Service Point Officer BSPO's.

Declared as special non-working holiday, April 30 was a day of fun and merriment as over one million guests and Dagupeños alike filled the streets of the city as they grill and party in the Kalutan ed Dalan, the culmination and signature event of the Bangus Festival.

Mayor Benjamin S. Lim led the ceremonial lighting of the grills to signal the start of kalutan or grilling together with his wife, Manang Celia Lim, this year’s festival chairman Alvin Coquia, co-chairmen Marriane Ang and Engr. Bobby Llamas, Councilors Brian Lim, Jesus Canto, Red Erfe-Mejia, Emong Vallejos, former congresswoman Kate Gordon, senatorial candidates Cynthia Villar, Ernie Maceda and Puerto Princesa Mayor Edward Hagedorn.

“We promise to work hard and deliver a more exciting Bangus Festival celebration in the coming years,” said Lim.

Villar, a constant attendee of the festival said, “I congratulate Dagupan for initiating and continuing a festival that showcases their delectable bangus.”

More than 800 grills covered the entire AB Fernandez Avenue and Perez Boulevard. These grills were set-up by different local and national corporations and businessmen.

Coquia was overwhelmed by the desire of the Dagupeñosto acquire their own collapsible grill and be part of the event.

12 stages featuring rock bands and artists, both local and from Manila provided live music and entertainment during the actual grilling. (Krissy/Gryson)
