DCWD STRENGTHENS COMMUNITY SPIRIT AND TOURISM SUPPORT AT 2026 BANGUS FESTIVAL

The Dagupan City Water District (DCWD) once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to community engagement and local tourism by actively participating in the 2026 Bangus Festival, one of the city’s most anticipated annual celebrations. Highlighting this year’s festivities were the vibrant β€œKalutan ed Dalan” and the high-energy Bangusan Street Party, where DCWD joined fellow stakeholders in showcasing unity, culture, and civic pride.

This annual involvement aligns with DCWD’s continued support for Dagupan City’s tourism efforts under the leadership of City Mayor Hon. Belen T. Fernandez. By participating in events that highlight local identity and economic vitality, DCWD contributes to broader community development goals while strengthening its institutional visibility.

Beyond public engagement, the festival also served as a meaningful team-building opportunity for DCWD personnel. Employees from various Divisions collaborated in preparations and activities, reinforcing teamwork, communication, and shared purpose. Such experiences help cultivate a cohesive organizational culture that translates into improved service to the public.

The success of DCWD’s participation was made possible through the strong backing of its leadership. The Board of Directors, led by Chairperson Arlene Sanchez, provided strategic support, while General Manager Gretchen Buena ensured operational coordination and active involvement from the workforce.

As the Bangus Festival continues to grow in scale and significance, DCWD remains a steadfast partner in celebrating Dagupan City’s heritage. Through initiatives like these, the agency not only supports tourism but also reinforces its commitment to community connection, organizational unity, and public service excellence.

DCWD AND PAMANA FLOW FORWARD WITH LASIP GRANDE PUMPING STATION

Barangay Lasip Grande, April 23, 2026 β€” Dagupan City is once again proving that progress flows where vision leads. With shovels hitting the soil and hope rising in the air, the groundbreaking ceremony for the City’s 26th active pumping station marked not just another milestone, but a powerful promise of cleaner, stronger, and more reliable water for thousands of residents.

This latest pumping station, the third completed under the Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) between the Dagupan City Water District (DCWD) and Pamana Water Corporation (PAMANA), is set to boost water volume across Barangay Lasip Grande, Pogo Grande, Pogo Chico, Malued, and nearby areas. For communities long reliant on steady pipelines, this project is more than infrastructure, it’s lifeblood.

The ceremony was graced by the city’s leaders and partners in progress: Hon. Vice-Mayor Dean Bryan L. Kua, Hon. City Councilor Danee B. Canto, Hon. Lasip Grande Barangay Captain Armando T. Capito, DCWD General Manager Gretchen G. Buena, PAMANA Branch Manager Glenn T. Gomez, alongside DCWD and PAMANA employees, Barangay Council members, and proud residents of Lasip Grande. Their presence underscored the collective spirit behind this achievement.

At the heart of this initiative is the dynamic and visionary leadership of Hon. Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, whose shared plan for Dagupan City continues to transform aspirations into tangible progress.

With every drop that will soon flow from this station, DCWD and PAMANA reaffirms its pledge: to deliver progress straight to the taps of its people.
