Shellfishes collected and tested from Dumanquillas Bay in Zamboanga del Sur; Tantanang Bay in Zamboanga Sibugay Province; Matarinao Bay in Eastern Samar; Coastal waters of Bolinao and Anda in Pangasinan; and coastal waters of Daram, Samar are ๐’๐“๐ˆ๐‹๐‹ ๐๐Ž๐’๐ˆ๐“๐ˆ๐•๐„ for Paralytic Shellfish Poison (PSP) or toxic red tide that is beyond the regulatory limit. Moreover, Panguil Bay in Misamis Occidental and Lanao Del Norte are now positive for red tide toxin.

All types of shellfish and ๐‘จ๐’„๐’†๐’•๐’†๐’” ๐’”๐’‘. or alamang gathered from these areas are ๐๐Ž๐“ ๐’๐€๐…๐„ for human consumption.

Fish, squids, shrimps, and crabs are safe for human consumption provided that they are fresh and washed thoroughly, and internal organs such as gills and intestines are removed before cooking.
