The Philippine Councilors League (PCL) – Camarines Norte Chapter, led by Chapter President Hon. Rey Kenneth Oning, successfully held its Capacity Development Workshop and Legislative Policy Review with the theme "Strengthening Local Environmental Governance: Policy Updates on Resource Conservation, Climate Resilience, and Sustainable Ecotourism in Camarines Norte" on August 13–14 at Anita's Restaurant, San Jose, Talisay, Camarines Norte.
This training brought together local councilors from all 12 municipalities of the province to learn about the latest environmental laws, climate action strategies, and eco-tourism programs.
We were honored by the presence of PCL National President Hon. Benjamin "Benjie" A. Abalos III and Atty. Alan Zulueta (representing PCL National Chairman Atty. Raul Corro). Our special thanks also go to our resource speakers: DENR Bicol OIC-ARD Ronnel Astor, Mr. Gil Badaguas, Jr. (representing Provincial ENRO Head Engr. Leopoldo P. Badiola), and DILG Provincial Director Melody Relucio, CESO V, as well as the participating officers and board of directors of the PCL Bicol Regional Council.
Our deepest thanks also to the Provincial Government of Camarines Norte, headed by Governor Ricarte "D**g" Padilla and Vice Governor Engr. Joseph V. Ascutia, for joining us and showing their strong support for our local councilors. Together, we continue to work for a greener, safer, and stronger Camarines Norte!
