Municipal Disability Affairs Office Talisay

In celebration of the 45th NDPR Week, the Local Government Unit of Talisay headed by Mayor Dondon Mancenido thru the Municipal Disability Affairs Office Talisay and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office conducted an Training/ Seminar regarding Gender Fair Language, Roles of Municipal Tourism Office to the Persons with Disabilities, and Accessibilities and Rights of PWDs.

The celebration attended by the Barangay PWD Presidents and Barangay Kagawad Committee In-charge for PWD at Saint Francis of Assisi Parish Hall, Poblacion, Talisay, Camarines Norte on July 19, 2023.

Bida ang kababaihan ngayong buwan ng Marso na itinalagang National Women’s Month (NWM) sa ilalim ng Proclamation No. 227 series of 1998.

Sa temang “WE for gender equality and inclusive society” mula 2023 hanggang 2028, ipinagpapatuloy ng selebrasyon ang mga tagumpay sa pagtaguyod ng karapatan ng kababaihan. Binibigyang-diin ng tema ang kontribusyon ng lahat ng miyembro ng lipunan sa pagsiguro na nakatatanggap ng patas at makatarungang pagtrato ang Pilipina, anuman ang kanyang edad.

"KKB CFW PAY-OUT for PWD Beneficiaries "

The KALAHI-CIDSS KKB-CFW Program is a cash support in exchange for community work/ services/ tasks rendered. It provides short-term intervention through temporary employment for no income or low income PWDs or households with at least one (1) member with disability, who are vulnerable, at risks or affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and/or affected by the disaster, natural and/or human-induced calamities, as well as climate change. Cash aid is provided in exchange for community work/ service/ task completed.

A total of 87 PWD and Family Representative benefitted the program of KKB CFW. This beneficiaries is selected base from 2015 Census.

Special Thanks to all people who rendered a support to implement this program and to LGU Talisay headed by Hon. Dondon Mancenido.

Dexter Carandang, na mas kilala sa tawag na “Skater Boy”, magsisimula na ng kanyang OJT with pay sa MSWD Office.

Personal na nakapanayam ng ating butihing Ama ng Bayan, Mayor Dondon Mancenido ang mag-ina na sina Dexter Carandang at Mrs. Ofelia kaninang umaga. Bukod sa OJT with Pay, ipinag-utos rin ng butihing alkalde na mabilhan ng panibagong knee pads c Dexter na magagamit nya sa pang-araw araw na pagpasok. Si Dexter ay kasalukuyang graduating student ng Mabini Colleges sa kursong BSBA in Financial Management at aktibo na nakikiisa sa mga programa ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Talisay.

Ang pantay na pagtingin at pagbibigay ng pantay na oportunidad sa ating mga PWDs ay mas binigyang pansin ni Mayor Dondon Mancenido, simula palang nang sya ay manungkulan.

Makakasama ni Dexter ang iba pa’ng PWDs (PERSON WITH DIVERSE ABILITIES) na kasalukuyang kawani ng ating Lokal na Pamahalaan.

Ang buong bayan ng Talisay ay sumasaludo sa tulad mo Skater Boy na hindi sumusuko sa hamon ng buhay! Isa ka’ng inspirasyon hindi lamang sa mga PWDs kundi maging sa lahat na nakaka-kilala sayo. ♥️

In celebrating the 44th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week with the theme of "Working with Government in Achieving Equal Access to Education, Employment and Livelihood towards Empowerment of Persons with Disability, the Municipal Disability Affairs Office conducted 5 Days Training on Basic Sewing of Tote Bags, Pillowcase and Pot Holder to selected PWDs on the Municipality of Talisay.

This program made possible thru the effort of Mr. Henry I. Bustamante our PWD Focal Person and Mrs. Sylvia V. Lamadrid our MSWD Officer and all the staff behind this event.

A special thanks to the Father of Talisay, Mayor Donovan A. Mancenido for giving his invaluable support and unconditional love to our PWDs on the Municipality.
