When the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck last June 8, 2026, it left countless communities shaken. Buildings were damaged, lives were disrupted, and uncertainty filled the days that followed. Yet, even amid the devastation, hope endured. Our library stood as a symbol of resilience. Despite the challenges brought by the disaster, our commitment to serve our academic community never wavered. Through teamwork and the unwavering dedication of our library personnel and administration, we carefully assessed our facilities, ensured the safety of our collections and users, and prepared to continue fulfilling our mission.
On ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ 13, 2026, just five days after the earthquake, our library proudly ๐ง๐๐ค๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐๐ its doors. While earthquakes may shake the ground beneath us, they cannot shake our dedication to education, service, and the pursuit of knowledge.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our administration, library personnel, faculty, students, and everyone who supported the library during this difficult time. As we continue serving our community, we remain committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and reliable space where learning never stops. The earthquake tested our foundation, but it never broke our purpose. Because even when the earth trembles, the pursuit of knowledge stands firm. ๐๐
