Born in Pitac, Tibiao, Mr. Alejo began his journey as a farmer and mangangayam (hunter) in the forests of Madja-as. His passion for the mountain took root in his youth during the 1970s, and for decades he has remained an active senior guide—sharing his deep knowledge of Panay’s highest peak and the natural heritage of Western Visayas
