Members of the Capiz PMSMED Council and industry leaders gather at the Hotel Veronica, PDP Township, Roxas City to celebrate and highlight the hard work and triumphs of Capiz MSMEs, development partners, and the Capiz Provincial Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Council.

28 November 2024 | The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Capiz Provincial Office, in partnership with the Capiz Provincial Government through its Provincial Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (PEDIPO), hosted a Capability-Building Program for Investment Promotions at the MVW Restaurant & Tourist Inn, Roxas City. The program focused on enhancing the investment promotion skills of the seventeen (17) Local Government Units (LGUs) personnel and DTI Business Counselors, preparing them to attract and sustain investments in their respective communities.

The following are highlights and topics of the program:
1. One Person Corporation presented by Atty. Hans Juris Artillero;
2. Doing Business in the Philippines by Mr. Joseph R. Badoles;
3. Game-Changing Investment Laws by Ms. Glodie A. Lopez
4. Strategic Investment Priority Plan by Ms. Liezel Joy H. Dellava and Mr. Joseph R. Badoles;
5. Introduction to Investment Promotion and the DTI Region VI Investment Profile by Ms. Rudylyn Demandaco;
6. Strategies for Investor Targeting, Lead Generation & LICC (spell this out) Update by Mr. Engiemar B. Tupas; and
7. Harnessing the LGU as IPC (spell this out too) by Ms. Honey Mae F. Osimco.
Special thanks to Mr. Rio C. Garcia, Provincial Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer, and Ms. Ken Queenie R. Cuñada, Provincial Director of DTI-Capiz, for their invaluable presence and support.
With forty-three (43) participants from various municipalities, including Local Development and Investment Promotions Officers, Business Permit and Licensing Officers, and Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index Officers, the event marked a significant step toward boosting investments in Capiz.
