Koronadal City | The Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS), through its Law Enforcement Coordination Division (LECD), partners with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) of BARMM and Region XII to conduct a three-day Narcotics Investigation and Prosecution Management Seminar-Workshop in Koronadal City from June 2 to 4, 2026. The activity brings together key law enforcement personnel from Lanao del Sur and partner agencies to strengthen anti-illegal drug operations and enhance prosecution efforts in the region.
The seminar-workshop aimed to address challenges in handling drug cases, particularly issues that have led to case dismissals due to procedural lapses. It also sought to strengthen inter-agency collaboration, improve investigative techniques, and standardize processes in the enforcement of anti-drug laws.
MPOS LECD Chief Bhenhar Ayob emphasized that the seminar-workshop forms part of the Ministryโs ongoing efforts to strengthen inter-agency coordination, improve the competencies of law enforcers, and enhance their capacity to build stronger cases that can withstand judicial scrutiny. He further encouraged participants to remain united and actively engaged, emphasizing that sustained collaboration and professional competence are essential in advancing the regionโs efforts to reduce and ultimately eradicate the illegal drug problem.
Participants included representatives from various Municipal Police Stations and the City Police Station of Lanao del Sur (PRO-BAR), as well as personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard Station-LDS, Special Action Force (SAF) (PRO-BAR), Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) (PRO-BAR), Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), Philippine Army-LDS, PNP Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) (PRO-BAR), and Provincial Mobile Force Companies (PMFCs) (PRO-BAR).
