Cotabato City, July 28, 2025 โ The Bangsamoro READi serving as the Bangsamoro DRRM Council's executing arm, celebrated the culmination of the National Resiliency Month 2025 with the rest of the BARMM Ministries, Offices, and Agencies (MOAs) in the Convention hall of City Mall in Cotabato City. Under the leadership of BDRRMC Chairperson and BARMM Government Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua, the BDRRMC renews its commitment with all DRRM partners and stakeholders in ensuring that DRRM implementation in the Bangsamoro benefits the most vulnerable communities.
BDRRMC Chairman Macacua in his inspirational message delivered by his representative Atty. Faizal Sendad, encouraged continued cooperation: โLet us carry forward the spirit of unity and preparedness. Sa bawat hakbang ng kahandaan, sama-sama tayong maging mas matatag bilang isang komunidad. Rest assured, disaster resilience remains one of the top priorities of the Bangsamoro Government.โ
The ceremony, organized by the Office of Civil Defense BAR, brought together various MOAs and Local Government Units (LGUs) across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to highlight collaborative efforts in disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM). The event aimed to recognize the unwavering support and contributions of partner agencies in building a disaster-resilient Bangsamoro. With the theme โKumikilos para sa Kahandaan, Kaligtasan, at Katatagan,โ the culmination emphasized the importance of unity, preparedness, and resilience.
OCD-BAR Regional Director Joel Q. Mamon stated in his opening message, โMay this program serve as a celebration of our collective achievement and a catalyst for deeper collaboration to protect every Bangsamoro community.โ
Bangsamoro READi was also joined by the Councilโs four key pillarsโMOST, MILG, MSSD, and BPDAโas well as other member ministries, offices, and agencies, reflecting a strong, unified commitment to DRRM initiatives in the region.
