COTABATO CITY - The BARMM Government officially launched the Office of the Bangsamoro Mujahideen Under Special Circumstance (OBMUSC) today at the SKCC, Bangsamoro Government Center. The event was led by BARMM Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim, with the presence of Senior Minister Abunawas โ€œVon Al-Haqโ€ L. Maslamama and other key leaders of the region.

The establishment of OBMUSC, mandated under the Bangsamoro Autonomy Act (BAA) No. 57, aims to safeguard the welfare and provide financial assistance to eligible members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (M**F) and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF). The office stands as a recognition of the sacrifices made by the Bangsamoro Mujahideen and Mujahidat in their struggle for self-determination and autonomy.

Senior Minister Maslamama underscored the collective efforts of the Bangsamoro leadership in turning this vision into reality. He emphasized that the initiative reflects the BARMM governmentโ€™s commitment to honoring those who played a vital role in achieving peace and development in the region.

In his keynote address, Chief Minister Ebrahim also highlighted the significance of recognizing the unwavering service and dedication of the Mujahideen and Mujahidat. He reaffirmed that OBMUSC will extend financial and medical assistance to support them, acknowledging that their struggles and sacrifices cannot be measured in material terms.

โ€œAng ating mga pinagdaanan at pagdurusa ay hindi matutumbasan ng anumang halaga. Kaya naman, isa ito sa mga pangunahing dahilan sa pagbuo ng programang ito โ€“ upang kilalanin at bigyang-parangal kayo na nag-alay ng inyong lakas at sakripisyo para mapanatili at maprotektahan ang kung anong mayroon tayo sa kasalukuyan. Kayo rin ay itinuturing na isa sa mga mahalagang haligi sa kung ano ang narating at tinatamasa natin ngayon,โ€ said Chief Minister Ebrahim.

The launch of OBMUSC marks another milestone in BARMMโ€™s continuous efforts to uphold the rights and welfare of its people, ensuring that those who have contributed to the Bangsamoro cause receive the recognition and support they deserve.
