𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝

The contenders from the Province of Maguindanao del Norte were the Sangguniang Bayan of 𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐮𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭 and the Sangguniang Bayan of 𝐔𝐩𝐢, while the Sangguniang Bayan of 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐮 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐢 was the sole contender from the Province of Maguindanao del Sur.

The 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 recognizes sanggunians at the city and municipal level with exemplary performance and valuable contribution in crafting ordinances and resolutions that ultimately contribute to local governance administration and development.

An onsite validation was conducted by the 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙚 (𝙋𝘼𝘾) chaired by the MILG Maguindanao Provincial Director 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘳. 𝘈𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢 𝘛. 𝘋𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘨, 𝘗𝘩𝘋, vice-chaired by PCL President 𝘉𝘢𝘪 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘩𝘢𝘮 𝘈𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘯 and VMLP President 𝘋𝘢𝘵𝘶 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘮 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢. Also part of the PAC were MILG Maguindanao Asst. PD 𝘌𝘯𝘗 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘗. 𝘋𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘺, 𝘗𝘩𝘋, SB Secretary General 𝘑𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘢 𝘛𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘰, AO V 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯 𝘌𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘭 of MENRE, Legal Assistant 𝘈𝘮𝘪𝘳𝘢 𝘈𝘣𝘥𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘩 of MAFAR, SWO III 𝘚𝘶𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘉𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 of MSSD, and 𝘓𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘳 𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘢𝘭 and 𝘑𝘢𝘺𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘛𝘪𝘰𝘭𝘰 from the Office of the Provincial Budget Officer of Maguindanao del Sur and Maguindanao del Norte respectively.

The Sangguniang Bayans were evaluated in different criteria namely, 𝘈. 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘈𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢, 𝘉. 𝘈𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘋𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, 𝘊. 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐆 - 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐤𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐒𝐊 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬

The MILG - Maguindanao Provincial Office headed by Engr. Amina T. Dalandag, Ph.D. initiated an assessment review and analysis for the Sangguniang Kabataan and the Local Youth Development Office on February 28 to March 2, 2023 at Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City.

The said assessment review and analysis aimed to evaluate the performance of the Sangguniang Kabataan and the Local Youth Development Officers to determine the problem that may affect their efficiency to perform and the factors that may impact the implementation of their programs, projects and activities.

Moreover, the 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘰 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 graced the program with their presence and discussed about the Bangsamoro Youth Commission Accreditation Program.

During the program, the participants were refreshed of their Duties and Functions and reviewed the Youth Development Planning as well as the SK related laws. In addition, the SK Federation Presidents and the Local Youth Development Officers of the different municipalities in Maguindanao including the Provincial Youth Development Officer presented their monitoring and evaluation forms which became the tool for their assessment review and analysis.

The Ministry of the Interior and Local Government – Maguindanao Provincial Field Office, headed by Provincial Director Engr. Amina T. Dalandag, Ph.D., initiated a Coordination Meeting with Partner Agencies at Pagana Kutawato Native Restaurant, Cotabato City on February 27, 2023 in preparation for upcoming 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Assessment.

Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) is a progressive assessment system that gives distinction to remarkable performance of local government units across several areas. For the past years, SGLG has been instrumental in promoting transparency and accountability in local governance.

Present during the meeting were representatives from MSSD - Maguindanao, IPHO- Maguindanao and Maguindanao Provincial government representatives from PPDO and PDRRMO.

MILG Maguindanao updated the partner agencies to the upcoming 2023 SGLG Assessment Process and Criteria, 2022 SGLG results, and the current SGLG compliance status of LGUs in Maguindanao Province.

Partner Agencies also shared their insights, issues, and difficulties experienced in the past SGLG Assessment and Validation.

The activity fortified the strong partnership between the government agencies present by improving cooperation and synergy for the upcoming 2023 SGLG Assessment.

The word “badtugan” is a Maguindanaon term that means pride, honor and prestige. It is linguistically used to describe a person’s character with particular feat, and of noble status, which also depicts the traits of the people whose contributions made resounding impact in the community where they serve and in the province of Maguindanao as a whole.

In celebration of the outstanding performances of the local government units in the Province of Maguindanao, the MILG-Maguindanao acknowledges the individuals whose endeavors brought great reverence to their respective municipalities. The Municipal Focal Persons, who are lifelines of local government service delivery; who directly interacts with the community and ensure that services of the local government reach the grassroots level; who tirelessly implement programs and projects; diligently monitor the delivery of services and selflessly provide assistance and support to the community. They are true public servants who embody the spirit of “badtugan” and serve as shining examples to others.

💯 Maguindanao Province and 100% of its 36 municipalities passed the 2022 Good Financial Housekeeping

The Bureau of Local Government Supervision released the final list of 2022 Good Financial Housekeeping Passers.

The Province of Maguindanao and its 36 municipalities have passed the stringent criteria and standards for the Good Financial Housekeeping for CY 2022.

The Good Financial Housekeeping aims to recognize Local Government Units (LGUs) with good performance in upholding the practice of fiscal discipline and sustainability, transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.
